Hermione woke up early in the morning and made her way to the kitchen where the elves worked. Before she could get there, someone grabbed her hand.

Hermione's POV
The sudden grab of my hand caught me out of the blue. "Hey!" I yelled and looked at who grabbed me. Draco.
He looked at me and before I could protest, he hugged me. His strong arms wrapped around me keeping me safe and warm. "D-Draco," I said. "Let go this instance!"
"No," Draco replied, hugging me harder. I wanted to give in, but I did not hug him back. "Not until you listen to my explanation."
"I can't," I said, and pushed away. "Not listening will hurt less." I walked away. He grabbed me again and hugged me from my back. The tears now ran down my face. "Stop!"
"No, Hermione," he said. "I know you still love me. Please."
I couldn't help but let the tears fall. "Draco, I can't. I gave you my heart and you chose her."
"No I didn't!" He exclaimed. "I made a mistake! I love you Hermione, not her. Do you trust me at all?"
"No," I uttered. "I can't anymore." With my finals effort, I ran away out of his arms and cut my visit to the kitchen short. I ran back to the tower, where Ginny sat on her bed.
"Hermione," she said. "What's wrong?"
I stayed silent. I couldn't speak after what had just happened. "Oh," she said. "You must've ran into Draco." I nodded. "And you didn't give him another chance?"
I brought my head up. "No," I finally said, my voice breaking. "I made the wrong choice, didn't I?"
"Do you think Harry and I fight?" She asked. "Well, we do. A lot. That's what couples do. You can't give up just because this happened. You have to work for your relationship."
I looked at her. I wiped the tears from. My face. "Okay," I said. "Thank you."
*****
I searched for Draco throughout the entire castle, his presence unseen, when I remembered something.
"Harry," I said, "do you still have the marauders map?"
"Yeah, I never leave it," he said. He took the empty paper from his pocket and grabbed my hand to place it. "Bring it back."
I nodded. I didn't know it was so important to Harry. "Thanks."
I left and stood outside with the map in my hand. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." The blueprint of Hogwarts showed up on the paper. I carefully searched for Draco's name until I found it. Of course, I thought. How did I not go there before?
I ran to the Quidditch Pit. When I arrived. There was no one there. I looked back at the map. "I don't get it. It says he's right here!!" I grunt and stomp my foot.
"Stalking me, Granger?"
I turn around and accidentally planted my face into Draco's chest. He was so tall. I looked up, and he was staring down at me, his smirk planted on his face. I stepped back. "I wanted to talk to you," I said.
He nodded. "Me too."
"I-"
"Wait," he interrupted. "Can I go first?" I nodded. "I wanted to give you an explanation when I didn't realize you weren't looking for it. You wanted an apology." He stepped forward and took my hand in his. "I'm sorry, Hermione," he said. "I was an idiot and I don't deserve you. But I'd love it if you gave me another chance, because I love you."
