Hermione and Draco struggled with what to do with the new information of Draco's dads escape.
" I know!" Hermione said. " Hogwarts! Professor McGonagall will take us in. But it has to be in secret...."
"Why Hogwarts?" Draco wondered.
Hermione stares at him in disbelief. " Hogwarts was the one place you guys couldn't enter. The only reason you got in was because of Voldemort. He's dead. Your dad can't get in."
Draco smiled. "But how will we do that without raising suspicion?"
"We'll plead for Professor McGonagall to start a summer school. Reasoning is the last year wasn't very successful in teaching."
"Going back to school? But Hermione summer just started," Draco whined.
" Draco this is for everyone safety," she said.
He looked at her. "Fine."
Hermione couldn't help but chuckle. "Did the great Draco Malfoy just give in?"
Draco smirked. " that's only because you gave good reasoning. And because I know if I keep arguing with you, you'll get mad."

Professor McGonagall stares at Pansy, who was now silent in. "I hope you realize what a serious issue you have caused," Professor McGonagall said. "You put the life of another student in peril!" Pansy hung her head low, not wanting to meet the eyes of Professor McGonagall. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?" All Pansy did was stay silent. "Well then, I can't do much because of your age, but I will say this. If you ever put Hermione or anybody else's life in danger, you will receive a cruel punishment! And I will not go easy."
Professor McGonagall ushered her away. "Oh, and one more thing," she said. "There will be someone watching your every move."
Pansy nodded and quietly left. Professor was left alone in her office when she heard light tapping on her window, the one where she first experienced Harry Potter's quidditch skills. There was an owl with a letter in its beak. She got up and opened the window. The bird obediently dropped the letter in her hand and stayed there. "It seems you expect a response. She opened the letter.
Dear Professor McGonagall,
As you have probably heard, Lucius Malfoy has escaped Azkaban. For the safety of all students who helped defeat Lord Voldemort, I wish for everyone to return to Hogwarts this summer. To avoid widespread panic, our cover will be that everyone needs to come back and complete the last year of studies, for the battle had gotten in the middle of it. As you know, many students will not appreciate it, but I believe it will work if you promise some fun!
A grateful student,
Hermione Granger
Professor McGonagall thought deeply and decided it was best to do so. She grabbed a piece of paper and her quill.

Draco and Hermione played chess in the garden. Hermione took Draco's king. "Dammit Hermione! Can't you let me win once?"
Hermione laughed. "If I let you win, will you learn the importance of working for something?"
"No, but I'll appreciate kindness a lot more," Draco smirked.
Hermione rolled her eyes. "Another round?"
Draco whined. "No, we already know how that's going to end."
"Fine," Hermione sighed. "Let's go inside."
Hermione placed the chess pieces neatly inside and carried it. As she climbed up the many stairs made of stone bricks, Draco admired Hermione. Hermione stepped on a misplaced brick, and fell back. Draco rushed to her aid, grabbing her waist. Startled, Hermione grasped onto Draco's shirt, letting go of the chess set. Hermione looked up and locked eyes with Draco. They stared at each other, the only noise coming from the chess pieces falling down the stairs onto the rocks. Hermione broke free, but her ankle gave out and she fell onto the stairs. "Agh," she said. Draco ran to her side. "Are you okay?"
Hermione nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Liar," He said. "You can't even walk." He out his hand on her ankle and put a bit of pressure on it.
"Ahh," she said.
"Here," He said. He gave her his hand and lifted her on his back. He carried her inside and set her on the couch. He kneeled down next to the couch and examined her ankle. She stared at his face. Draco noticed it. "Am I so devising handsome you must steal looks at my face?" Hermione didn't answer. He noticed the awkwardness. "Are you okay?"
Hermione just stared. "Your father escaped. You'll be in danger if he finds out about us."
"Hermione," He said. He cupped her face in his hands. "There is nothing he could do to separate us. Ever."
Hermione immediately thought of Ron. He said that to me too. She was scared. Not for her safety, but for Draco's. She had killed Ron. Who knew what she'd do to Draco? She just knew she couldn't afford to hurt him.
Draco leaned in to kiss Hermione on the forehead, but she pushed him away. "Stop it, Malfoy," she said.
Draco winced at her calling him Malfoy. "Mione, what's wrong?"
"What's wrong?" She asked. "Can't you see I'm just using you? Can't you see I've been pretending to love you? Well, I don't. You are just someone I've been using because of Ron's death. But I can't do it anymore. Sorry, Malfoy." She fought back the tears. No, she thought. Stay strong. She turned around and walked out of the Manor and apparated to The Burrow.
Draco was left, heartbroken. No, he thought. She's lying. I know she loves me. She wouldn't do that to me. Never.
"Now do you see, Draco?" Pansy walked in. "She never loved you I like I do. I can give you everything she has to offer and more." Pansy walked up behind Draco and kissed his neck. Draco never loved Pansy. In fact, he was sure he hated her, but he didn't know what to do. The love of his life walked out on him. Instead of listening to his heart, he betrayed it. He turned around and kissed Pansy. She wrapped her arms around his neck and they fell on the couch.
Hermione immediately fell out of whatever she was in. How could I do that to him? She thought. I've got to go back. She apparated back to Malfoy Manor. There, she saw it for herself. Draco and Pansy kissing. Draco snapped out of it and got up. He noticed Hermione and immediately panicked. "Mione, it's not what it looks like." Pansy smirked.
"It doesn't matter anymore," she said. "See, I came back to apologize and say that I did love you, but seeing this, I know now that the person who truly fooled me was you."
Draco stepped towards her. "No, of course not." He reached out for her hand, but she stepped back.
"Goodbye Draco," she said and left this time. For good.
Draco turned around, and Pansy walked to him. "Dra-"
"Get out," He said. She looked at him. "Get out!!!!"
Pansy walked towards him. "This is not the end. We will be together." And just like that, she left.
