"It started with a peculiar night.

Kyungsoo was sleeping in the castle as he dreamt of walking, and walking and walking towards the horizon, a foreign warmth beside him, the shape of the Sun in his peripheral. He was woken up by his advisor's frightened face, yelling at him about the dying moon.

Kyungsoo sprang up from his bed, he ran to the window and saw that the flowers were dying and his people were running around in fright- his kingdom was falling apart. The castle had stopped its movement, and all the fluffy white spiders were hiding away in their cocoon. Kyungsoo felt helpless, pulling his hair in frustration, unsure of his next action as it had been five millennium since this phenomenon last happened. He wasn't prepared for it at all. When Kyungsoo asked what was happening, his advisor was at a lost too.

"It must have something to do with the Sun." Junmyeon, his advisor, offered.

Kyungsoo blinked in surprise, "The Sun? What do you mean the Sun?"

Junmyeon then began a long winding explanation about how if the Sun was to die, so would the Moon. There was a reason why the two kingdoms shared a border. However, no one knew why the Sun and the Moon were correlated as it was a secret only the Guardians should know. And as a Guardian himself, Kyungsoo should have a working knowledge of this; it was a tradition to learn all the secrets from the previous Guardian the night before the coronation. But then again, the last Guardian had died unexpectedly, leaving Kyungsoo to take the Guardian of The Moon position before he could even finish his training.

"What should I do?" Kyungsoo asked in dejection. He didn't know anything about the Sun, or the city of Sun, never once crossed the border between the Suncity and Mooncity except for that one time when he tried and failed to do so.

Chanyeol kept pacing around the room, thinking how it could've happened. The Sun was gone. It was stolen. When he stopped to sit on his throne, his advisor came rushing in, stumbling a little as he skidded to a stop infront of Chanyeol. The missing case of the Sun left everyone bewildered and confused, even Chanyeol, the Guardian of the Sun himself.

"The Sun is nowhere to be seen!" Jongdae exclaimed, showing the paper scroll he just got from the messenger. "We doubt it's even in the kingdom anymore!"

Chanyeol gripped the armrests tighter, he knew who did this, of course he knew, but if they couldn't find the Sun in the culprit's quarter that meant the man had already fled somewhere, taking the Sun with him. Chanyeol needed to fix this matter quickly, he needed to get the Sun back and put it right where it belonged before everyone lose their trust in the new Guardian. His father or his great grandfather or his great great grandfather's great grandfather had never lost the sun before.

"What should I do?" He asked his advisor.

Jongdae thought for a moment before he snapped his finger, a metaphorical sun above his head. "You should go to the Mooncity."

Chanyeol frowned and asked why he would do such thing. He couldn't come up with any reason why he should bother the bordering Kingdom for the case of his missing Sun, as the Moon and the Sun were two different things in two different worlds. What business did the Mooncity have with the missing Sun?

"Haven't your father told you about The History of the Sun and the Moon?" Jongdae inquired as he saw Chanyeol's puzzled expression.

"The History of..." Chanyeol thought for a moment before the memory hit him. "About the Moon being in danger if the Sun is gone?"
