Our new home was better than the last. Bigger, more beautiful, more secretive.

And in the few weeks we had lived here, Sky and Harry both tried their very best to be okay with each other.
Having them both as a mate was hard but not as I'd expected it would be.

When I wasn't with one, I was with the other. Harry did have his ways of overpowering my feelings so that my love for him could always be; even by a little bit, stronger for him than for Sky.

"Did you feed yet?" Harry said coming up behind me.

I shook my head, "no.. but I was thinking we should.. switch to animals.." I said turning around to face him, "taking peoples lives isn't something I want to do anymore.."

"Lost your love of power?" He asked

"No. I mean, yes. I don't really need it anymore.. We're all happy here. Normal."

He sighed and crossed his arms, "this is because of Sky, isn't it?"

The question wasn't wrong but I had hoped he wouldn't ask it. "It's just an idea. And he only ever fed off a human once.. to become a full vampire. After that, strictly animals."

"So he put it in your head?"

I sighed from annoyance, "he's done it the entire time.. He didn't need to put it in my head when I noticed it myself."

"So—" But before he could finish, I interrupted.

"Alright, I'm gonna go amuse myself while you argue against my other mates feeding choices being a good idea." I said. I left him alone and quickly went to an area that would make me less irritated.

"He's just always competing.. They both are. It's getting annoying." I complained.

Lucius scoffed, "getting? It's always been incredibly annoying.. Hunter and I talk about it all the time."

I shrugged, "it's hard to have two mates.. I thought it was easy at first." It was definitely going to be something I needed to get used to.

"Well I can help you..." He moved closer to me and hovered his lips over mine, "take your mind off it." He whispered.

"Lucius—" But I couldn't finish protesting before he kissed me. His lips moved on mine firmly and I pushed against his chest. Luckily he stopped.

"I wish you were my mate." He said breathless.

I rolled my eyes, "well I'm not and there's a reason we haven't done this in so long... You have a mate, remember. And I have two."

He nodded and shrugged, "yes... of course we do."

My chemistry with Lucius was never gone but it was something we both could never show others. Three people would be hurt. Maybe even five.

I was trying to escape lover drama, not start more of it.

I brought both Harry and Sky to the dining room and sat them down.

"What is this?" Harry asked, seemingly annoyed.

I squinted at him, "it's called you guys get along and get over that both of you is my mate or I leave here completely."

They both furrowed their brows, "leave completely? What?" Sky asked.

"Yeah. If you both can't get over it then I'll just leave.. Start my life some place else so their is no problems anymore."

They both shook their heads, "that's not how it works—" Harry began, before I interrupted.

"Actually it is. It can work how ever I choose. How ever we all choose and right now you're both choosing to be selfish and annoying."

Harry sighed and Sky just looked at the floor in front of him.

"Fine. I can learn to be okay with it." Harry said. Thankfully because he was the one who struggled the most.

Sky nodded, "yeah.. I agree."

I nodded as well, "good. Then we can have no more problems and learn to be family."

All I wanted was to be in peace rather than having some ridiculous drama coming over our heads at every second we tried to be happy.

This would be good for us.

Hopefully.
