Chapter fourteen❱ As I made way downstairs, my eyes landed on the the group who stood out the most. They radiated confidence and power, seeming so coolly. I could almost feel the jealousy coming off from everyone, their eyes glancing their way ever once in a while. Making sure they didn't seem obvious about their glances but it's clear enough for everyone to notice. The people surrounding them had stood feet away, carful enough not to take a step towards them. Even though they envied them, they all still treated them like royalty which made the Elites even more powerful.
I didn't noticed I was also staring at them and envying them in a sort of way, but as I was doing that I've noticed one person was missing from the group. I looked around the area, trying to find her but didn't see her anywhere. As I started to walk down the stairs, I've noticed something, something I didn't notice earlier, their body language.
As I made my way closer to them, more thoughts started to pop up. By the way their eyes moved around the crowd, almost warily and afraid. Only then remembering Alexandra sitting near me as if she were purposely trying to catch my attention. Sterling and Owen staying away, almost as they were avoiding me. Then Rory being caught in my room, almost seemingly like he knew I was going to walk in that room in any second.
As I stared from afar, eyes trained on Sterling, trying to get something out of him, I've noticed it.
His eyes were trained in the wooden door which happens to be Bruce's office. My mind soon connected the dots.
Maybe Linda was in the room and the elites didn't just come here to have fun but only to get something that isn't theirs.
In seconds, I was already making my way towards the door, determined. I didn't notice the people around me soon moving out of the way to make room for me so I'll walk.
Once made it to the door, I reached for the handle but soon stopped by a person who happened to walk right past me. My eyes following her every move. Linda had a glass of wine in her hand, her eyes wandering around, occasionally sipping on her wine.
I looked back where the elites were and found their eyes on me, only giving me a blank stare.
I glanced at Linda, who was making her way around the crowd, looking over her shoulder staring at me just like the others. Instead of letting it go, I looked back at the handle and twisted it open. The room was dark and empty.
The lights flickered up and the room seemed untouched but I still had the feeling that someone might've been here. When I was about to shut the door close a hand caught the door. Before I could figure out who it was, I got pushed inside.
I turned towards the person and glared at him once I found out who it was. Kace shut the door close and glared at me as well.
"What's wrong with you? Having a party and bringing in all your mates? Bruce wouldn't like this and-"
"And that's why your not going to tell him alright?" I cut him off, a finger pointed at him as a way of trying to imitate him.
"I'm sorry but you know I can't do that Ms, Nightingale." He says back, his dark eyes still giving me a glare.
"Fine, tell him, let's see where it takes you" my voice seemed calm but the way my cold stare meet his, I didn't seem as calm. He didn't say anything back and I made my way out.
If Kace didn't pulled me out and tell me off I would have ended it here but now that I know he was going to let Bruce know about my activities why not enjoy it. As I was making my way towards the group of people rubbing themselves on each other, I caught a glimpse of Alexis. She wasn't facing me but towards the bar so I only saw half of her face. Though, in that second, I caught her in the action.
"Are you fucking serious?" I ask Alexis as she lifts her face up from the bar table. Once she met my eyes, her eyes were wild, nose covered with a bit of white powder. When she notices who I am, she quickly wipes her nose and covers the white powder that's spread on the back of her phone.
"Are you seriously doing drugs in my fucking house" I yell out, my voice getting louder by every passing second. I look back at the white powder which still happens to be on the table.
"What? It's not something you haven't seen before, what's the big deal?!" I scoff at her respond.
"Oh shit, that's right, your sister overdosed on drugs, my fuck-" no one has ever had the balls to throw that to my face so when she did I didn't have to think twice about it before my hand connected to her cheek. Her face flew to the side and I didn't wait a second before I slapped her again on the other cheek.
I didn't notice the music was turned down and the room was quiet, everyone's eyes on me. I also didn't noticed Owen behind me staring at Alexis like he wanted to the do the same to her.
"Alexis fucking Wood, I must say, you got some balls for saying what you said. I mean it was stupid because look where it got you. Now get the fuck out of my house, don't make me kick you out myself" my face was inches away from hers, my hand gripping her arm. As I stared in her eyes, I've seen fear cover her features.
She soon pushes me away and after looking around the room, she slowly walks away and out of my house.
When I finally see her get out of my house, I turn to look everyone around me. Their eyes following my every move, as if they are waiting for me to do something. I finally then looked at Kace who was standing in the back, his eyebrows furrowed as if he wasn't sure what to think. My eyes hopped around until they stopped on the six pairs of eyes who looked at me with nothing but a blank face.
"Get out" my voice was loud enough but everyone was still in their place, not moving an inch. "All of you, get out of my house!" Soon people scattered around until the room was empty. The only ones left were Kace, and the Elites. I hated that they knew this about me, about my sister, they knew my weakness.
"Thea-" I cut off Owen before he would start saying stuff I didn't want to hear.
"Leave, I don't want you here, I don't want any of you here" I say as I glare at every one of them.
"I'm not leaving you alone, Alexis literally threw that in your face, she mentioned... her, your sister and Sterling's " he said lowly as if he didn't want to mention it either or say it at all. I glanced around until I've found Sterling towards the back, though he wasn't looking at me but looking at the floor with a thoughtful look on his face.
"Shut up, just shut the fuck up" I say as I close my eyes.
"Just get out of my house" I didn't have to say it again before every one of them left except for Owen. He was standing still, eyes trained on the floor and I thought he wasn't going to leave but he did. His fast, loud footsteps echoed in the house and once their were gone, I regretted it.
I looked away from the door and started to walk up the stairs. Kace was still quietly standing, not really knowing what to say, but what is there to say.
Once I was in front of my room, I gripped the knob before twisting it open. I walked in and didn't mind changing into some other clothes and laid on my bed. As I was laying there, my mind was blank but somehow I felt hot tears running down my cheeks. I tightly gripped my pillow and dug my head deeper into the pillow. The harder I gripped, the harder it was for me to stop the tears from running.
I wanna it to stop, everything.
