Note: The girl above is Delilah. Also, I will be keeping most of the things the same, just changing/adding a few characters. Please tell me if I get anything wrong! :-)
The three of us walked in a comfortable silence for about ten minutes before a large prison come into my sight. It's massive, and has two large sets of gates. It's perfect. Just as I was thinking about running ahead and meeting real live people, Glenn clears his throat and looks at me uncomfortably.
"Rick; our leader isn't going to like that we brought you here. We also recently lost four people. Axel, T-dog, Carol and Lori, his wife. From the Governor. Our people, they're sensitive right now." I nod. I can understand how they feel.
"I'm so sorry for your loss. I can do my best to pull my weight. I'm a good hunter." I tell them quietly. I think I notice Daryl frown at my words, but I choose to ignore it. Nothing can get me down, not today.

A girl with short, brown hair is patrolling the gate. As soon as she sees the three of us, she rushes over to open a large, brown door. Daryl and Glenn run forward, so I follow them, doing my best to keep up. Once we're inside, she closes the door and rushes into Glenn's open arms.
"I missed you!" He tells her, and I can't help but wish that someone could love me like that. Once they pull apart, the girl shoots me a rude look. Glenn just smiles awkwardly.
"Ummm... Maggie, this is Delilah. Delilah, Maggie." Maggie suddenly smiles at me and hold out a hand for me to shake. I don't flinch this time. I just smile and shake her hand.
"Pleasure to meet you." I tell her in a small voice. Maggie's smile just widens.
"Lets get you inside so meet everyone, and maybe eat something. Dinners soon anyway." I nod and follow her into the prison.
I trail behind Daryl, Glenn, and Maggie. They are greeted with smiles and I... well, I get stares. It's okay, though. I understand.
"Can I get everyone's attention?" Glenn asks as he stands on a small stool. If everybody hadn't been staring at me before, they were now.
"This is Delilah. We found her in the woods. Alone. She answered some questions, and she's staying with us." The group started whispering amongst each other. Daryl brushed past me.
"Come on. I'll show ye to yer room." My eyes widden, but I don't say anything. I just follow him past all of the people and to a open area. There are cells on each wall, probably for the prisoners. Daryl leads me up a set of stairs, to more cells and a sleeping baby. She lays in a cardboard box that reads 'lil ass kicker.'
"Ye can hold her later, when she wakes up." He says.
"Here's ye room." Its similar to the rest. It has a bunk bed and drawer inside.
"Thank you. Will I be sharing with anyone?"
"Yes. Her name is Elena. She's nice enough. Right now Elena is on a run with a girl named Cameron. Beth and Cameron are n the right of ye. I'm just above, in the crowsnest, if ye need anything." And with that, Daryl leaves me alone, and goes downstairs to consult with the members of his group.

About an hour later, a girl with long blonde hair came into my cell.
"Hi. My name is Beth. Daddy sent me up to get you." She says. "It's dinner time, and you should probably come and meet everyone."
"Thank you, Beth." And I really do appreciate it. She's the only person who has bothered to talk to me since Daryl left.
She leads me down those steep stairs, and down to another room. This one has three long tables that stretch across the room. Everyone fits on one table. I wander around, and end up sitting next to Glenn. I make sure to leave an empty space next to me, just in case. I still haven't met their leader yet. I sit and wait, not sure of what I'm supposed to do.
"Go up there and pick up a plate." Glenn whispers. I smile weakly and make my way up to the plates. I see Daryl balancing two plates and smile at him. He makes his way over to me and shoves one towards me.
"Here. It's for ye."
"Thank you!" I'm probably smiling my biggest smile. He just rolls his eyes. I walk back over to Glenn. Daryl slams his plate down next to mine. He starts shoveling food into his mouth. His plate is almost empty before I even take my first bite. When I do start eating, though, I almost do the same. It's the best thing I've had since... since Lacey. She was such a good cook.
When I finish, Daryl takes my plate back over to be washed. I just sigh. I can already tell that he's stubborn it's best not to argue. Instead, I walk around and begin to meet people. The first person I go to is an old man. He introduces himself as Hershal, Maggie and Beth's father. He is very kind. Then he points out a young boy, named Carl. His father is the leader.
I walk over to Carl. He is sitting by Beth.
"Hi, are you Carl?" I asked him.
"Yeah. You must be Delilah."
"Yes. Can you please show where your dad is? Glenn and Hershal said I should meet him." Carl's expression grows solemn.
"Follow me."
