      Kayleigh POV
        *Day After the Slaughter*

I had no way of knowing if Lexa was victorious.
I guess we wouldn't know until the fury of the remaing clans would come to wipe out Skaikru.
It didn't matter that Skaikru had guns, we had the numbers. Many grounders would die but so would all of Skaikru... I needed to get my people out of here before then.

"Is Bellamy still yours?"

I felt a mixture of things when I thought about him. The emotional pain and sadness was there, I could feel the bite of tears.

I love him and loves me.
He was mine and I was his..
It should've been simple, but it wasn't.

But underneath that was anger. Anger that he didn't choose me, that he didn't listen. Not knowing whether Asher or Lexa was alive or dead. At being caged in a cell that I hated. My tears were useless, so I went with anger, letting it fuel me. Even more so with the smell of death lingering in the air.

Others didnt seem to notice it, or pretended not to but it was there. The stale stillness, faintest hint of copper, made my inside burn even more.

"Hey boy." I cooed at Helios walking into the makeshift barn.

The Azgeda mare nickered, and kicked the door to her stall, jealous of the lack of attention.

"I got something for you too, girl." I called out to her, pulling an apple out of my jacket first for Helios and then turning one over for her.

They both seemed to be as agitated as I was about being stuck here, and as much as I wanted him, I couldn't help but be thankful Obsidian wasn't here. He'd do worse than I did being stuck inside.

Bellamy didn't come looking for me, but that didn't mean he didn't send anyone to watch me.
Since leaving med bay hours ago I've felt more than one pair of eyes silently watching me. Waiting to see if I would try to escape.

Didn't help that I was dressed more grounder than Skaikru, Ashers black shirt was huge and long, falling almost to my knees. It would be easy for them to single me out in the crowd.

What they didn't know was that I was watching them too. A smile forms on my face when Helios nudges his head against my hand.

"You gonna help me dissappear for a bit boy?"

Quickly I unlocked both stalls allowing the horses out. With a smack on their rear, they cried loudly before bursting out into a run, barreling through the doors. With the scene and commotion they were causing all eyes turned to them, making it easier for me to blend into the shadows without being seen.

While Octavia tries to find a way out of here, I would find out anything else that could be useful.

    Third Person POV

"Is it true you tried to leave camp to see Indra yesterday?" Marcus questioned Octavia, as they stalk through the halls of Arkadia

"Look, don't you have more important things to worry about than me sneaking out of camp?"

They step behind a doorway made of dangling red strips of plastic.
