"Destiny?" I chocked out.

"Soph, it's really not what it looks like." Jonah gasped, following me as I stormed outside.

"I'm done, okay. I can't do this anymore, you've let me down one to many times, I can't do this anymore. As of now, you are single and free to fuck your ex all you want because I don't fucking care anymore!" I yelled not caring who heard.

"Soph I-" I didn't want hear what he had to say so I ran back inside, losing myself in the crowd of careless people. I tried to look for Corbyn and Christina but couldn't find them. I thought maybe they went to the backyard, so I found myself outside, my makeup smudged all over my face, feeling like everything was the worst it had been in a long time.

I spotted Daniel sitting alone on a swing that hung off one of the maple trees. I thought back to what Christina said about being with the people that make you happy and treat you right. I knew who that person was, and I had pushed him away. I hoped he still would be there for me when I needed him most.

"Hey Daniel." I smiled, trying to wipe my face clean with the sleeve of my shirt.

"Hey." He smiled, getting up and motioning for me to sit on the swing, "what's the matter?" He pondered seeing the eyeliner streaks down my cheeks.

"Jonah cheated on me." I shrugged sitting down on the wooden swing.

"What?" He gasped, sitting down in front of me.

"I went to find him so I could rip off the bandaid ya know? And I see with sticking his younger down her throat." I laughed in hopes I would cry.

Daniel made a disgusted face, "ew."

"Yeah, I feel like an idiot."

"Love is blind or whatever people say, trust me I know."

"It really is," We both sat in comfortable silence for a minute, "I could really use a hug right now."

Daniel held his arms out and I took a seat down next to him, letting his embrace hold me together.

"Are you going to go back to him?" He asked.

"No."

"I'm not your toy you know."

"What are you talking about?" I felt like that whole night would go down as the worst night of my life.

"You keep doing this. He hurts you, I'm the one who is there to fix you, and then you go and run back to him."

"Isn't that what friends are for, to be there when you need someone?" I pulled away from his warm embrace.

"I know I said I'd be your friend, but it's too hard. Every time something like this you come crawling back to me after you forget I exist, then you say you miss him and you're gone again. You keep running back to him." Daniel's voice was beginning to break.

"I'm sorry." Is all I could think to say.

"I don't think I can be your fried anymore, I'm ripping this band aid off."

I couldn't believe my ears. First I lost my boyfriend, then my best friend. My chest was so tight I couldn't even breath. What had I done.

"Daniel, please I-"

"Just don't talk to me after tonight, please."

By this point I was a mess. I wouldn't have been surprised is Christina walked up behind me and stabbed me in the back.
