Chapter 4

We arrived home...Luke was angry or possibly he was upset or maybe that was his type of expressing love and forethought for others.

A car horn could be picked up...Loud and irritating my ears... Luke got up to the window and looked, he told me it was my driver.

"Why is your driver here..." Holly asked as she rubbed her eyes with her palm.

"I possess no idea!" I exclaimed.

"Did you call him? Are you leaving?..." She inquired.

I was confused, totally befuddled....

     Holly's questions, my driver coming here, made me question myself...I stood still and processed my mind.

"Luke, tell him to leave..." I said.

Luke went to my driver and whispered to him. Truly speaking, I don't what did they talk about...
    He came in and told me to stay at Holly's place itself.

When Luke went to his room, Holly invited me to her room and I shut the door behind me.

I don't know whether he is handsome or maybe too handsome as a man, or he is pale...But I liked myself when I was with him...

"Is Luke your boyfriend?..." I asked.

"No, he's my ex, we dated for 3 years, but long distance doesn't last forever..." she said with a smile.

"I think he likes you..." I said.

"I don't think so, he dumped me. He is dating Beth. I told him she is not the perfect one, but he loves her," she replied.

I didn't ask her any questions, any further questions would make her upset. Luke knocked the door twice and came in.

"I have to leave now, just got a call from Beth, come along with me..." he asked thumped his hand on my back.

That was way too hard... It felt like a bang... I could have shouted... he had a heavy hand, I guess.

"No, let her be here" Holly argued.

"Come on Naira, I can drop you on my way" he said.

I could feel that it made Holly upset, but I had to go back to my place, I packed my bag and gave her a good-bye kiss.

I didn't feel that leaving her on her own was a good decision. But I had stayed at her place for long enough.

While I was in Luke's car he warned me, he told me not to hang around with Holly so often and not to trust her.

Thoughts surrounded me... difficult to identify the perfect person for me... "Who would be by my side" I whispered to myself.

Was I safe in this world, all by my own. I was lost in my thoughts when Luke quivered me.

"Did you hear me?..." He asked as he started the engine.

I was drowned in my own world, struggling to escape reality... Oh Lord! Help me survive... I PRAY...
