"Oh gosh" me and Luke shouted out.
"What is this smell" I continued.
"Hey, who are you!" He screamed and rushed towards someone.
After a few minutes he came back and told me that someone was inside my house. And the pungent smell comes from my dead cat.
I held the cat in my hands. It was soft and furry, it's pointy, triangular ears were alert for any unusual sound. It's skull was round with a small nose sticking out with her mouth directly underneath. Her tiny cheeks were completely covered with long white whiskers. Its eyes were symmetrical, shaped like a tiled round leaf. I wrapped it up in a paper and asked Luke to take it away.
I vomited.. I couldn't take this... Kitty was my favorite mate.
Luke helped me survive this pain. I was drowning... I was an unlucky person but, I was lucky that my other senses, apart from my eyes worked way better than the others out there.
The next afternoon the cops arrived. Luke told me to stay safe and he left. They was guarding the whole time.
"Hey, it's me Murphy" the eye specialist called.
"Hello, what's up doc?" I replied
"I think I can fix your eyes," he said and giggled.
I giggled along with him, but I was not allowed to go out. I had to stay at home. "Can you come over" I asked.
"Sure, I will be there in a couple of hours," he said and hung the phone.
The door bell rang and it was doctor Murphy. He checked me totally and told me that as I was born blind there was no scope for improvement.
I could see a ray of hope,
But it disappeared
Will I be blind forever
And merely survive
It was not in my fate to see the world and look around. How dawn and dusk view looks like. How children grow up and adults turn old. The last hope just vanished in the thin air.
Mr Murphy left and I heard Holly coming in. I am aware of her smell now.
"Hey, I'm sorry, I was not talking to you" she mumbled
"Its okay, come take a seat" I stated.
She told me that she got busy with her friends and she even left the job. She said that she was in search of another job, she asked me to go along with her but I as got promoted few months back I was earning huge. I never wanted to change my job. Adjusting into a new situation was always difficult for me. And apart from that Luke didn't take job in Mexico so that he could stay with me and we could work together. I could never betray him.
I didn't say her much just told her to get a job. She was sure that I would not go with her. As of now I was not ready to trust her. Her attitude and sudden mood swings would leave me helpless. I would rather choose Luke over Holly.
