I woke up to an alarming sound. It was my phone which vibrated under my pillow. I picked it up, it was Dr. Murphy. He was an eye specialist. I used to visit him earlier this year. I took an appointment and visited him.
"Hello doctor," I said as I entered his office.
"Yes, come in," he allowed me in.
"You know that a girl who died of a heart disease donated her eyes," he said surprisingly
"I will see whether it's a good fit or not" he continued.
I was on cloud nine, super excited. I lay down and Murphy gave me an eye checkup. He gave me assurance that the eye will fit me.
On my way back home, I came across Holly. I told her that I could get a vision. But she didn't react positively.
I came home and called Luke. He was happy for me. We talked for hours. It felt good to share my feelings with him.
Eyes, I need you right now,
I'm just trying to figure out.
Everywhere and somehow,
I still want to carry out.At ten, Holly called me and told me that Luke didn't believe anything and I shouldn't have told him about my eyes. He was talking about it with others. I felt utterly disgusted. Maybe I trusted the wrong guy.
She told me that she wanted to meet me. I was not interested, but still asked her to visit me. I wanted to know about Luke, wanted to know everything about him.
The door bell rang and I rushed to open it. Holly came in and I offered her a cup of coffee. I could hear her sip the coffee way too fast.
"Is there anyone else with you" I asked as I could feel a presence.
"No, absolutely not," she muttered.
We talked for hours and she told me that Luke was taking advantage of me. He wanted to ruin me. But I had no clue why would he want to ruin a girl like me. I am not whole, a part of me is missing.
My life was captured between home and office and I only experienced tragedy since joined this company. Holly also told me that when she was recruited people used to harass her as well, but she could overcome such problems.
Twelve at midnight, my phone vibrated. I picked it up it was Luke. After everything what Holly told me about him, made me think he was not perfect.
"Don't say a word just listen to me," he said from the other end.
I was flushed, I was fast asleep. Still I tried to listen to what he had to say.
"There's someone in your house, I can see him through your window" he whispered.
My blood ran cold and my hands shivered. I could barely hold the phone in my hands. I had no idea whether he was beside me or he was sitting somewhere and watching me. Terror attacked me.
