The next day, Dylan and I had art together last lesson. We had a really lazy supply teacher, so no one was doing any work. I sat next to Dylan on a table with Ella, Connor and this girl called Kylie who I didn't really know very well. She got invited to parties and stuff, but I just hadn't recalled mixed with her. She seemed nice enough though. Ella was being wing woman to Emily and chatting her up to Connor.
"So you guys are dating now? That's cute." Kylie smiled. There was almost something sickly sweet about her.
"Yeah. It's been just over a week." I told her. It had gone so quickly though it felt more like a few minutes. Dylan caught me gazing at him and smirked so I pinched is cheek. He laughed and slapped my hand away.
"I can tell you've been working out, Dylan." Kylie said. Dylan blushed a little.
"You can. Thanks." Dylan had come out of his shell a lot more since we'd been together, but he was still quite shy. I found it pretty endearing to be honest.
"Definitely. It's a turn on for sure." Kylie winked. A turn what now? Was she joking? Dylan's cheeks pinked more. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't be embarrassed, Dylan. Oh and did you watch that program the other night about our beginning and whatever? I found it totally engrossing." So that was the card she was playing. Great, she was smart and pretty. Of course Dylan had seen it and it sparked a big discussion. I was stuck between Kylie shamelessly flirting with boyfriend and Ella going on about how easy going and carefree Emily was to Dylan. Great.
Finally the bell rang.
"That was really cool talking to you, Kylie. It's nice to find someone with the same interests." Dylan said slinging his rucksack over one shoulder.
"No problem. Here, text me." I watched wide eyed and opened mouthed as she handed him a piece of paper with a number. What the hell? I wasn't going to let that slip, but I wasn't going to get all jealous bitchy girlfriend either. We walked out the door, still a trio and Kylie began to walk off before stopping and waving. I waved back quickly and rose to my tip toes, kissing Dylan long and slow. When I stepped back, Kylie was still standing there, looking slightly miffed. I shot her a fake smile and dragged Dylan up to the school gates.
