That afternoon, Sky practically stomped home. I actually struggled to keep up with her. I jogged in front and put my hands on her shoulders.
"Woah, Sky. Come on now, tell me what's up?" I asked her. She pouted and I couldn't help laughing a little.
"Dylan. Stop it." She said sternly but soon enough she collapsed in laughter too. Once we sobered up I tried again.
"Okay, kiddo. Talk."
"I'm not in the mood for size related pet names." She huffed.
"Sky, just tell me why you're angry for fuck's sake."
"I feel like I'm not smart enough for you. Yeah, I'm not thick but you're top of the class." I pulled her into a hug. She hesitate before wrapping her arms tightly around my waist.
"Is this because of Kylie? Honestly, stop worrying. Sky, you're so blind to how much I love you." I said into her hair. Seconds after I realised we hadn't addressed the whole love thing yet. Oops. She pulled away from me and she wore a huge smile on her face.
"I don't mind you either." She beamed and took off skipping down the street.
