Jisoo's PoV:

Please don't pair me up with him, pleaseeee! I'll do anything, just don't let me be his partner!! I thought as I clenched my first tightly, praying with everything fiber and atom in my soul and body.

Mrs. Lee spoke, "And for our final pair: Kim Jisoo and Kim Seokjin."

Shit.

-- two hours later --

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad!" My best friend Chaeyoung (aka Rosé) said into the phone, her amusement obvious on the other end. "It's just Seokjin."

"Just Seokjin?! Chae, are you serious?? You know who he is right??"

"So what if he's one of the most popular boys in school? That automatically makes him a playboy?"

"Yes!" I exclaimed, flopping down on my bed. "He's knows I'm smart! He probably paid Mrs. Lee to pair us up, just so that I can do all of the work and he can sit there and look pretty!"

"Says the one who uses to copy her own bestfriend's work."

"That was seventh grade! And stop defending him!" Jisoo stood back up for the 100th time and paced around her room, which was painted a deep violet.

She ran a hand through her shoulder length black hair and sighed, resting her free hand on her hip.

"I'm not defending him Jichu, I'm just saying that working with him won't kill you. There are worse things in this world, you know: I got stuck with Namjoon and Nayeon as my partners."

I let a chuckle escape my lips.

"What's so wrong with them?"

"Well, Namjoon is the smartest out of all of us, so he usually tends to become a control freak who thinks that he's always right, and Nayeon is......well she's Nayeon."

I heard my best friend laugh on the other end.

"Don't worry Jichu, everything will be fine, trust me. Anyway I gotta go, my homework is calling."

"You nerd," I giggled, "Talk to you later Chae."

I ended the call, throwing myself on my bed, wanting to scream into my pillow.

God, why me....

"Couldn't I have gotten any other partner?! Ugh.....if my mom wasn't on my back so much I would've dropped out by now..."

I sighed.

"Whatever."

-- the next day --

I opened my locker, grabbing my textbook and notebook for literature class, which was my last block of the day, and was unfortunately the class that I had to sit next to Seokjin in.

I still couldn't believe that I actually had to breathe the same air as that idiot, let alone be his partner.

Don't worry Jisoo, I thought, it'll be over as soon as possible. Then, you can go home, and throw darts at the wall. That just so happens to have Seokjin's year book picture on it.

I smiled reassuringly, happy that I'll have something to look forward to after school.

I walked down the hall with running students and occasional outbursts of laughter, which honestly made me sick and annoyed.
