Chapter VII. The Prophecy

"What are you talking about?!" Lady Tsunade yelled from within a room. I had been told to stand outside until she was ready to see me. "Is there even such a child?" the fifth Hokage yelled once again. "Please my lady settle down." Shizune says softly.

I hear Lady Tsunade slam her fist onto her desk. "That's not possible!" She says. It sounds as if she has been crying. "What is going on?" I whisper. I see Kakashi Sensei come around the corner. He has sadness in his eyes. "Sensei?" I whisper.

He snaps out of his trance and looks me straight in the eyes. "Please go get Naruto." He quietly continues walking. My heart drops. Something horrible has happened and somehow it connects to Naruto. I quickly run to find the blonde knucklehead.

"Naruto!" I scream seeing him walking. He quickly turns around. "Naruto we go-" I suddenly trip and land on top of him. I feel my face turn red and quickly try to stand up. "Nope!" Naruto exclaims wrapping his arms around me. Na-Naruto!" I exclaim, my face even more red than before. "Not until you kiss me." He says with a smirk. I giggle. "You're an idiot." I say quickly scrambling from his grasp. He stands up and looks at me with puppy eyes. "No Naruto." I say looking away. He begins to whimper. Ugh he is such an idiot! I sigh and quickly plant a kiss on his cheek. He shrugs "Good enough, I guess." I giggle.

He takes my mind off of everything. Speaking of everything. "Naruto!" I exclaim. "Lady Tsunade wants to see you." He looks at me confused. "Come on." I take him hand in my own and drag him to the Hokage's office.

As we enter the Hokage's office we see Kakashi as well as Sakura standing looking at Naruto with sadness in their hearts. I glance to the right of the fifth Hokage. Their sat...toads.

I had heard the stories of the Toad Sages. "So this is Jiraiya-boy's student?" The elder toad ask. Jiraiya? One of the legendary Sannin? I feel a small smirk come onto my face.

I quickly reverse it back into a frown. I reach up and touch my lips. I didn't do that. The question I have always asked myself was starting to look more and more like a fact each day. Was I the only one in this body?

I am snapped back into reality by Lady Tsunade's voice. "Yes... This is Naruto Uzumaki." She turns her head to me then glances at the elder toad. "Im not sure where to begin." I gaze at the toad then quickly glance at Naruto.

He looks so stunned and I feel the urge to pull him close to me. Stop it Naomi! You can't feel whatever this feeling is.

"Jiraiya-boy.." The elder toad drifts off a bit. "Jiraiya-boy has died in battle." As those words slip from his mouth I feel the sadness deepen. I close my eyes. "Wh-What are you talking about?!" Naruto manages to say. "I know this is sudden." I feel a tear roll down my cheek. "And I do not blame you if you don't believe me, but Jiraiya-boy left a message before meeting his end." The elder toad rips his cloak off and spins around revealing markings on his back. "I-It's a code." Shizune whispers. Naruto hangs his head. "Did you...let him go, granny?" Naruto whispers almost in tears.

Granny Tsunade opens her eyes slowly. For a moment there is nothing but bitter silence. "That's right." She finally says. Naruto's head flies up "Why would you allow such a reckless thing?!" He yells. "You knew Pervy Sage better than anyone, How could you let send him to such a dangerous place." He glares at her. "Alone?!"

"Enough Naruto!" Kakashi yells. I feel the tension begin to rise. Naruto clenches his fist. He turns his back to us and begins to walk out. "Naruto, Where are you going?" Sakura exclaims, but Naruto just ignores her. Naruto slowly opens the door "If Pervy Sage had been the fifth hokage," He pauses "He wouldn't of let Granny Tsunade take such risks. Never." And with that said he slams the door behind him.

I slowly look toward the door. "There is another thing, Shizune!" Tsunade says. "Oh right, yes mam." Shizune digs through her bag. "Here we are." She says laying several scrolls on the desk. Kakashi looks at the scrolls then back at Lady Tsunade.

"These scrolls hold a prophecy lost in time." Shizune says. "It tells of an ultimate savior." The elder toad says, "The code written upon my back is the same code written on this scroll."

Kakashi walks toward the desk. "It speaks of a child with all chakra natures as well as all Kekkei Genkai." My eyes grow wide. That's it! That prophecy, I matched all the details.

As I thought of this another thought came to my mind. I can't let these people know.. "Naomi!" A voice snaps at me. I look around the room. "Have you ever heard of the prophecy?" "Um, No!" I yell before darting out of the room.

Running through the dark alleys I notice Naruto's figure up ahead. I have to say goodbye. I stop running as I approach him. "N-Naruto?" I whisper sitting on the bench beside him. He doesn't look up at me nor say anything. I hang my head.

"Here..." He says sticking a half of a popsicle in my face. I slowly take it in my hand. I look into his sparkling blue eyes and before I know it he is kissing me. Both him and I had dropped our pops and were deep into the kiss.

I quickly pull away blushing. I glance at him seeing a quick little smile form on his lips. He gentle pulls me closer to him. "Thank you." He whispers into my ear. "Naruto..." I say under my breath.

This will be the last time we see each other. I close my eyes and let a tear fall onto the ground.
