*Flashback 10 Years ago*
"Naomi, please come inside before the sun sets." My caregiver instructed me. Her smile is so kind. This woman had taken me in when I was just a pitiful 3 year old orphan roaming the streets. Being an orphan in Amegakure wasn't a surprise. Many children were left to fend for themselves, I was just lucky enough to be shown kindness. I was just six. My life hadn't been the greatest. I was abandoned at birth left to survive on my own. I had taken my mothers life by being born. My father I never knew. I was alone in this world until one woman smiled at me. She gave me food and shelter and now three years later, here I am.
It was almost sunset and I needed to be home before dark. I saw a fluffy dog with a litter of puppies following behind her. I gave a gentle smile. Those puppies had a mother to care for them and they were happy. I began chasing after them and eventually I wound up outside the village in a meadow.
It was beautiful, unlike anything i had ever saw. I stood beneath a swaying willow tree. I watched as the mother and her puppies laid in the comfort of a small cave. A loud clash of thunder turned my happiness into fear. Startled my body flung forward, sending me into the depths of a lake. Gasping for air I panic. I never figured out how to swim. I gasp for breath one last time only to fill my lungs with cold water.
Closing my eyes, awaiting death I feel a hand take my own. Slightly opening my eyes I see a figure pulling me to the surface. Emerging from the painfully cold water I lay on the edge of the lake in the pouring rain. I take a short breath. As I close my eyes waiting for death once again I feel my body shake. "Are you okay?" A voice comes. I raise up and cup my head in my hands. I find arms wrapped around me. I stare up at him. "I'm Itachi." The boys says with a smile. His smile makes my heart skip a beat. "I-It-Itachi?" I whisper. He nods. "And you are?" I stutter a bit. 'Oh..Um I'm I-I'm Naomi." The boy looks deep in though. "Naomi.." He whispers. He then turns back to face me. "You have a beautiful name, Naomi." His words makes my tummy feel weird. My only response is to giggle. He sticks his hand out to help me up. I gently take it and hoist myself up.
I yelp as we both plummet to the earth. When I open my eyes I see only his black orbs staring back at me, than I realize....I was kissing him. I quickly jump to my feel, stumbling a bit. "I-Im.... Im Sooo Sorry!" I yell blushing madly.
*End of Flashback*
"You needed to remember him." Came Kemonos voice. I lay in my bed with tears rushing down my cheeks. "Thank you Kemono." I whisper.
