Here I was, locked in the darkness. It has been ten years since I've seen the light of day. My only friends were the voices in my head. I was haunted by the voices of my past. I have a feeling they are trying to tell me something or maybe warn me of something, but I haven't yet figured it out.
I walk over to my ragged bed and flip the pillow over, revealing a shiv. It was almost worn away to nothing now. I have been using it for about three months now, trying to escape this torment. I pick the shiv up with my fragile fingers an begin to saw at the rusty metal bars of my cell. "Almost.." I whisper. When my ears pick up the sound of someone coming I panic and drop the shiv outside of my cell. I desperately try to grab the shiv before whoever sees it. As I hear laughter I know they have seen me. I slowly retreat my hand back into the cell. I look at my dirty, rough, bloody hands then back at the men in front of me.
"Well, looks like someone was trying to escape." One of them says picking up the shiv. I looked at the floor waiting for my punishment. "Enough Kisame." The man beside him yells. I slowly look up at the other man. His eyes, "Itachi!" I softly yell without hesitation as if he was going to help me.
I quickly cover my mouth with my hand. I had been pretending to be mute until today. "So she can talk." The man named Kisame says with a laugh. Itachi just stands there looking at me. I glare at him. Kisame chuckles. "Well enough chitchat we were told to bring you to Pein." Kisame says. Pein, their leader? Why does he want to see me.
Itachi glanced at Kisame then looked back at me. As Kisame unlocked the door I made for a desperate escaped but did not get very far. I was to weak and fragile. As I face planted the earth I heard a chuckle come from the shark man behind me. I slowly stood up and stuck my arms out. Itachi Uchiha walked over to me and wrapped rope around my wrists. Did he have to tie it that tight?
They knew I was fragile from lack of eating and they knew I could barely walk and I defiantly couldn't keep up with them. And of course I already had blood coming from my wrists by the time we got to he entrance of the prison.
Itachi pulled on the rope causing me to face plant the earth once more. This time I just laid there. There is no way I can keep going like this. As I close my eyes I see an image before me.
I could hear a voice echo all around me. As I turn my head I stare into the eyes of a women. Her green eyes showed kindness and her black hair reminded me of myself. The women seemed to be with child. I tried to reach out, but I couldn't move. The women smiled at me, then I watched as she was pushed off a cliff by the hands of a man with the same eyes as Itachi Uchiha. I watched as she fell to her death, but suddenly she was safely laying in a field of Cherry Blossoms. I wanted to help the women, I wanted to ask who she was.
"Hey!" A voice brings me back to reality. I blinked adjusting to the sunlight. You see, that vision was the first one id ever had. I have had plenty of visions and like the voices I suspect they too are trying to help me remember my past.
I was fighting to stay conscious. Kisame sighed and threw me over his shoulder, "Baka.."
As we emerged from the darkness I felt as if my eyes were burning out of my sockets. Ten years since I have experience sunlight. I had almost forgotten what it felt like.
As we travel I spot a Sakura Blossom in the distance. I slightly smile. It looked just like the ones from the image I saw no to long ago. I close my eyes as I feel the cool breeze. I slowly lose conscientious.
I see the women again. Am I dead? As I think that a figure appears in front of me. "You are Naomi, correct?" The figure says softly. I look at it bewildered. Is it actually talking to me. Wondering if I can speak I open my mouth. "Y-Yes." I whisper. I can talk, this image is different then before. The figure steps out of the shadows. I gasped at the figures appearance. This girl looks exactly like me...could it be...She just smiled. "You look just like me." I mumble. The figure nods. "Naomi, you have to remember, you have to finish it" As she says this her eyes begin to change. Her eyes stare back into mine, I try to scream, I try to run, but I cannot do anything except stare back at this demonic view of myself..
I jump up screaming. My eyes wide I grab my head in my hands. I gasp for breath. "It wasn't real." I scream to myself. Her, my eyes they were horrifying. My eyes have never changed like that, they have always remained a deep onyx color.
I calm down at the sound of footsteps approaching my door. Wait, where are I? I think to myself. The door slowly opens revealing a purple haired women. "Konan." I whisper. Again I quickly cover my mouth. How do I know these people that I've never met. She just stares at me, emotionless. "Pein is requesting you." She says grabbing my hand.
She pulls me onto a balcony. As she leaves a man with a orange mask emerges from the shadows. That wasn't Pein. I have never seen Pein before but I knew that this man wasn't him. "W-Who are you?" I stutter, "and what do you want with me?!"
The man just walks closer. He slowly reaches out and touches my forehead. I look into the one eye I can see.
I scream in agony as ripples of pain shoot throughout my body. As pull un hand away from my face all I see is blood. I start to shake violently.
As I fall to my knees screaming it all comes back. I hang my head. "I know now." I say. This isn't my normal self, my voice, my body...it's all different. As I stand up I look at the man before me. It all makes sense now, the visions, the voices I understand what it all means now.
As the rain beats heavily against the stone walls, lightening hits a tree in the distance. The man removes his mask as a streak of lightening lights up the sky. I stare into his red eyes,
"Hello, Father."
