"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" Someone yelled and I and the two other boys jolted up.
"Liam." I said but my brother cut me off.
"No, Effy. Don't. What is this? Why are they in my house." My brother mostly states instead of asked with venom filling his voice.
I put my hand on my hip.
"It's not your house, and they came over after I got released from the hospital, and we fell asleep considering it was only about four thirty." I spit back at him.
"Does mom know?" My brother asked mockingly.
"Yes! Now go away!" I said pointing towards the hallway to the stairs.
"No." He said while crossing his arms.
"Fine, we'll leave." And with that, I grabbed Jamie and Ryder's arms and lead them towards the hallway where the stairs were to my bedroom.
We were walking through the hallway and I let go of the boys arms.
"Sorry about that." I said turning around to them.
"It's fine." Ryder assured.
I could sense an awkward tension in the air ever since the guys saw Liam.
"Do y'all know each other?" I asked stopping and turning around to face them.
They just scratched the back of their necks awkwardly.
"Okay, well. I'll just take that as a yes." And turned around to continue up the three sets of staircases.
"Da-ang." Ryder said stopping him self from saying the 'd' word and I smiled in satisfaction.
"What?" I asked not bothering to turn around.
"I didn't know your house was this big." Ryder said.
"Your house is bigger than mine." He added.
And I laughed, "yeah okay." I said sarcastically
. "I think it is." Jamie defended his best friend.
"Nah." I protested.
And they dropped the conversation.
"Please, please, please just don't break anything." I asked them politely whilst opening my bedroom door.
Their eyes widened.
I shook my head at the buffoons and walked to my queen size bed and sat on it.
It was so comfy, I felt like curling up and sleeping.
Then I realized that the boys were still in my house.
"Hey, guys, not to be rude or anything, but when are y'all leaving?" I sat up.
"We're not." Jamie turned around and plastered on a huge grin.
"Great." I said while rolling my eyes and laughing.
"You won all these?" Ryder asked while acknowledging my volleyball trophies.
"Yeah." I said with a small smile.
"You must be really good." He said looking back at me then turning back to the trophies.
"Was." I corrected.
"Was?" He questioned.
"Yeah, I stopped playing last year." I added.
"Why?" He asked and all the memories came back.
I just shook my head giving him a sign I was done talking about it.
"Well, I think you should try out again." He said walking away from the trophies and to my bed.
