"Effy! Get your behind up and ready for your first day, now!" My annoying, yet caring mother yelled in my ear.

"Yeah, yeah." I'm up I waved at her dismissively.

I walked out of my room into the hallway to go downstairs.

"Well, good morning, sunshine." My brother said sarcastically, while I flashed him a fake smile and continued to the kitchen.

I got a water bottle and popped the lid off while walking back to my room to get ready for my long and dreadful day.

I walked into my bathroom and hopped into the shower.

I washed my hair and body. I shaved my armpits and legs quickly before getting out.

I stepped out of the shower grabbing two towels- one for my hair and one for my body. Once I wrapped myself in towels, I walked over to the mirror and wiped off the condensation.

I looked in the mirror, and I looked like a raccoon.

My mascara had spread down my cheeks so I quickly wiped that off, then headed out of the bathroom.

I walked over towards my closet.

I had picked out high wasted shorts with a floral crop top.

I slipped on my clothing then headed towards my bureau where all of my make up and hair supplies are located.

I took my hair out of the towel and let it loose to dry.

I started on my make up, which is always a natural look for me; mascara and eyeliner.

Once I was done, I started to do something with my hair.

I decided to just straighten it, and when I was done, I quickly went into my bathroom, brushed my teeth, then grabbed my bag from by my bed and ran down the stairs.

"Gagghhh!" I screamed in frustation realizing I left my phone in my room.

I ran back up the stairs, grabbed my phone from my nightstand and ran down the stairs again like a crazed maniac.

My best friend Alana had texted me.

She was basically just yelling at me to hurry up and come outside because she had been waiting for me.

I ran out the door and up to her car.

"Hi." I said shyly waiting to hear her wrath.

"Hey, you're lucky I love you." She said in an unimpressed voice.

I smirked, "I know." And with that, we drove off to school.

We pulled up in to the parking lot and I groaned.

"I hate this." I muttered in despite.

"Me too, now lets go." Alana said dragging me out of the car.

It was great, because I had all but two classes with my best friend.

It was good enough for me at least.

We walked into the school and got a few greetings from people we had known from the previous years.

This being our Junior year, we basically grew up with everyone, unless they moved or got retained, but other than that, everyone knew everyone.

Alana and I walked into first block to recognized familiar faces.

The familar faces being; Jeremy, Ally, Nick, and Alec.

We had all been best friends since we were young.

We were inseparable, and somehow, we always managed to be together.
