*NOT PROOF READ!!*

EFFY'S POV

I was just finishing curling my hair into loose, natural waves, when my door burst opened. It was my friends- all of them. Every. Single. Last. One. Yup, even Jamie, and they all wore lopsided grins. "Yes?" I quirked and eyebrow at the weirdo’s stood before me.

"Are you done yet?" Lana squealed from the doorway. I glanced at myself in the mirror. I made sure my make up still looked okay and I stood up from my chair and pushed it under my bureau. I picked up my perfume and sprayed my wrists and neck.

I glanced in the mirror and straightened out my clothes. I was wearing a black shirt with tight black skinny jeans that looked really good on me. I wore black heels to match. I loved them. I picked up my jacket and threw it over my shirt.

It was nearing early February soon, but the weather hasn't changed at all. It's still cold out, so I grabbed a scarf. It helped look more natural with the outfit too. I wanted to look hot, but be warm while doing so.

I nodded to Lana sheepishly and she came running over to me. "You look beautiful, baby doll." Lana enveloped me into a tight hug and I didn't take long to wrap my arms around her petite figure.

"Relax. You'll be fine." I guess she could feel my stiffness and nervousness reflect off of me. Or she just noticed the constipated look on my face. She let me go and held my shoulders given me a tight nod. I smiled a little and relaxed.

"Oh, Bethy, Ryder's here." Liam exclaimed in a mocking singsong voice and I glared daggers at him. I hate that name. Not because it's ugly, but because it was close to 'Beth' and I do not like her or anything she has put me through.

Then again, I thank her; I thank her for bringing me to meet this beautiful boy who is waiting for me right now downstairs. So I turned around and offered all my friends a small smile as I made my way downstairs.

They all had knowing smirks, but I made sure to ignore them and walk out my room. I walked down the stairs to see my mom interrogated the poor guy. He had a horrid look on his face as my mom went berserk on him about orangutans.

I face palmed myself at my mother and her weird fetish with monkeys. "Mom, stop. You're going to scare him off." I glared at my mom playfully. "Oh, please, if you hadn't scared him off yet, then I don't know what will." I glared at her for real this time.

She snickered at her own joke and left the room. Ryder now held an amused look with a smirk. I scoffed at him and rolled my eyes. He came up to me and grabbed my hand. "Hello, beautiful."

Those words had my stomach in knots, but I made no attempt in showing him. "Ryder." I replied and he raised a brow at my statement with a small smile. "Is that how were playing?" He questioned me.

"What ever do you mean?" I feigned innocent and he snorted at me. "You know, that's not very attractive, now is it, Ryder?" He rolled his eyes and couldn't contain his smile on his lips. He walked closer and grabbed my waist pulling me to him.

I immediately brought my arms up and around his neck. He pulled me close to him and nuzzled his face in my neck. My face was pressed into his shoulder and I could smell his cologne. I let out a sigh in content and Ryder knew what I was sighing about as he snickered.

I would have blushed, but I was too comfortable with Ryder to even care. I rolled my eyes and we pulled away, although we made no attempt at moving. He smiled at me and leaned closer again so our noses were touching.

"You really do look beautiful though." His breath fanned my face and I smiled at him. "Thank you, you look really nice, like always though." He kissed my nose after my statement, causing my nose to wrinkle up. He laughed at me and did what I've been waiting for since we went to get ready.
