There wasn't much time for Taehyung to mourn over the death of the woman he had killed or talk to his friends about his guilt, because as soon as he entered the Pit he was met with the sight of both Namjoon, Jimin and Jin holding down a screaming boy. 

At least he's screaming and not roaring, that means he's in his human form, Taehyung thought. And sure enough, he saw the raven-haired boy on the ground instead of the newborn demon they'd fought yesterday.

"Need a little help?" Taehyung asked his hyungs with a chuckle, walking their way. 

"We're fine." Jin grumbled. "He's just a little stubborn, hm, aren't you, Jungkookie?"

"That's his name?" Taehyung asked.

"It's Jungkook!" the boy yelled. "Don't call me by that stupid nickname!"

"Where are Hoseok and Yoongi?" Taehyung asked the three, ignoring the boy and the glares he was shooting his way. "They were right here when I left."

"Where did you go?" Jimin asked in return, his voice calm and not giving any signs of exhaustion. Taehyung didn't answer, he only looked away. That was usually enough for Jimin to understand. Jimin nodded and then replied to Taehyung's question.
"Yoongi went home to rest and Hoseok is getting some stuff from Yoongi's house we could use." 

"What stuff?" Taehyung asked suspiciously, ignoring the multiple frustrated screams coming from Jungkook. 

"Nothing bad, don't worry." Jimin chuckled, his eyes turning into crescents. "Just some stuff to help Kookie calm the fuck down."

It was scary to hear Jimin curse while he was smiling like that. Taehyung shivered and the boy, Jungkook, didn't even say anything about the use of another nickname.

"Why are the three of you on top of him anyway?" Taehyung asked, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl on the table. 

"Yeah, good question." Jungkook growled while he continued to push against the three bodies holding him down. 

"He tried to escape and then attacked Jin-hyung." Namjoon said as a matter of fact. "He needs to calm down before we can reason with him."

"You kidnapped me!!" Jungkook shouted. "That is against the law!!"

"You're dead, you're a demon now. There are different laws in our world." Taehyung said, coming closer to Jungkook and crouching down next to him and the three struggling to keep him on the ground. "And first of all, we didn't kidnap you. We saved you. Your fate would've been terrible if we hadn't decided to help out, so be a little grateful and show us some respect."

Taehyung liked how he could speak informally to this boy. He could only ever do so with Jimin since Taehyung was one of the youngest demons and had to respect all the demons that had been born before him. In addition, Jimin 'died' at the same age he had – though it was centuries longer ago – and he allowed Taehyung to use informal speech for that reason. Taehyung and his other four friends were an exception though. Jimin didn't allow anyone else to talk to him like that.

"If I calm down, will you promise to explain everything and let me go?" Jungkook said after a moment of silence. 

"Of course." Jimin said at the same time Namjoon, Jin and Taehyung let out a firm 'yes'.

Jungkook sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. He seemed to try to calm himself down, but it was clear to all four demons that he was still agitated. His tail was out and sweeping around after all. He himself did not seem to notice the tail.

"Alright," the youngest said then, "I'm calm. Now please get off of me."

One by one the three boys carefully got back up on their feet, letting go of Jungkook's limbs he had been flailing around in an attempt to break free. Jin wiped the dust from his shoulders before crossing his arms and eying Jungkook suspiciously. Like the rest of them, Jin knew Jungkook could make a run for it any moment, so he had to stay alert.
