The Annoying, Delusional, Decieved and Ignorant
"Thank you very much, I'll be sure to visit again soon." Umi said to the herbalist and began making her way out of his shop with the fresh medicines and potions she needed for her next journey.
She was travelling the town, doing her errands, alone today for Hyde had to get back to work at the blacksmith's. After walking him to Erhard's shop, she had promised to get lunch with them later before heading outside the town to train.
Umiko walked down the street as it was in full buzz. People rushed about for their shopping and business and some kids even played around the busy streets, chasing one another. A young boy, no more than seven years old, had not been watching where he was going and had bumped into the purple-eyed girl, making her stumble slightly. After she quickly composed herself, she knelt down to the little boy before her and offered a hand.
"Are you alright?" she asked softly, hoping he didn't get a fright. The boy gazed up at her in a daze before smiling widely.
"Yep! Thank you Miss!"
After Umi had pulled him from the ground he ran off with his friends laughing and grinning, and the purple-eyed girl couldn't help but smile.
I wish I had a childhood as happy as that. She thought to herself, old memories flashing through her mind. She quickly shook them away and continued down the street towards her next destination.
"Oi! Excuse me!"
A hand had found itself firmly on Umiko's shoulder and she immediately spun around to face whoever had approached. Her eyes stared at a boy, possibly a year or two older than her, with pale blond floppy hair and golden yellow coloured eyes. In a way, he kind of reminded her of Hyde in appearance, jut change the yellow colours to blue.
"What is it?" Umiko asked sternly, noticing the bow on his back and the other armed people that stood behind him. There was something off and she couldn't place it, which agitated her.
"Uh..." the boy blanked for a second, obviously surprised at the dark-haired girl's tone. He quickly snapped back to reality and stood up straight.
"My name is Itsuki Kawasumi. I'm one of the Four Cardinal Heroes, the Bow Hero!" he introduced and Umi raised an eyebrow.
So, it is true.
"That's nice." she deadpanned and it was evident that the Bow Hero's pride was stricken. "What do you want?"
Itsuki quickly composed himself as one of his companions shot forward in front of him. The man was big and broad with a dark brown moustache and was head-to-toe in armour.
"How dare you speak that way to the Bow Hero!" he bellowed, getting up in Umiko's face, or down, considering she was much shorter. She however, remained unfazed by the man's outburst.
Itsuki smiled, enjoying his praise from his companion and told him to calm down, that he could handle the situation.
"Please, excuse my friend. He's just being a faithful companion." the blond smiled, although Umi's eyes just narrowed.
"I won't excuse him, but I'll ignore him, thanks. Now, what did you stop me from continuing on with my day for?" At this point, she was becoming more than fed up with this so-called 'Bow Hero' and mostly now looking forward to lunch just so she could meet her friends and tell them about the annoying bowman.
"Oh, sorry!" Itsuki quickly apologised. "I was just saying that you're carrying weapons so, you must be an adventurer?"
Umiko stood there for a moment. Her mind raking his question.
