Inhale, blood rushes,
Feel the mellow beat.
One...this life was given not asked,
Two...search not purpose, just be,
Exhale, give breath back to nature.
Inhale, mind expands,
Body reacts, tense to relaxed.
One...building blocks creating worlds,
Two...construct meaning from fatuous,
Exhale, cast thought to memory.
Inhale, give life,
Oxygen to starving flesh.
One...all that you need is before you,
Two...grasp survival not greed,
Exhale, base existence.
Inhale, feet steady,
Muscles tensed and ready.
One...battles come in all forms,
Two...hold to yourself, fingers bloody,
Exhale, until your last.
