In the unlikely event of self,
Pull the ripcord,
Wrench falling body from the spiral,
Caught in overwhelming current,
Led by all but you,
A chilling metronome reality,
Mind's molded to a beat,
Follow the drummer,
The baseline is enticing,
Seductive, addictive hypnosis,
Forming drones from individuals,
Lulled in by ease,
No need to be more than,
More than a moment,
Just exist for its own sake,
Sink into comfort and conform,
No chance for reform,
A current too strong to fight,
But fight,
One struggle may lose,
But water ripples with ease,
In the unlikely event of self,
Pull the ripcord.
