Peace at Home

Guesses do not facts make.

Read me not final rites,

I see no reason to despair.

Even the darkest night ends,

Fear will not cause me abandon.

Gasping air, adrenaline rush.

Rage with me, this injustice.

I shall burn those who trespass,

Each soul damned to torment,

Feel nothing but cold vengeance.

Give me stories of hope,

Range of options to chance,

I give all for one lost wish,

Exact from me any desire,

Freely I pay any cost.

Gone is the sun's blinding light,

Red twilight yielding to darkness.

I felt the last of hope slip away,

Enormity of weight crashing down,

For what is left but empty pain.

Granted finally a pathway to peace.

Rejection of that which plagued me.

I find myself tranquil, placid,

Echoes of once lost comfort return,

Finding peace at last.
