Issaquah's POV
It's been almost two months and I'm officially married to Kimberly and she was slowly starting to show that she was indeed pregnant. I currently sat in my office with papers piled all over the place. I grew hungry and irritated about how many bills have to be paid.
I suddenly saw the take out bill from this past year and that's when I lost it. Dean seriously ordered so much that this bill was through the roof. I tossed my pen back on the desk and got up storming downstairs where Dean and my sister along with my nephew sat next to Kimberly.
"Dean! Office! Now!" I yelled glaring at him.
He slowly got up and walked out of the room looking scared. He should be scared because our take out bill is never that high. The girls looked at each other then at me. I only smiled then walked after Dean. He sat in one of the chairs looking extremely nervous about what was about to happen.
"Explain." I said and shoved the bill in his hands.
"Simple, we needed food for the parties." He replied calmly.
I growled and thought of ways to hurt him until one thought. I called Kimberly and my sister in here just as I looked Dean in the eye.
"Your husband has the take out bill over a million dollars. He gets a job outside of the gang and pays for half and I'll pay the other. Deal?"
"Deal."
"Don't scew this up Dean."
He nodded and release my hand before walking out with my sister. Once he was out I turned to Kimberly. I smiled and pressed my lips to hers and wrapped my arms around her waist.
She pulled away as her hands rested on my arms. She suddenly wrapped her arms around me with a small smile. I of course hugged her back, in love with her warmth that wrapped around me just by the simple act. We stood in my office for a while like that until my door opened.
"There you are. We have been looking all over for you." My mother said with a small smile.
"Joseph was shot and is in surgery." Was all my dad said.
My best friend on the planet was shot. I grabbed my desk as the room started to spin. They were talking but I couldn't hear them. It was like a scene from a movie. I sat down and stared at my desk in shock. They kept talking but the sound wasn't coming out. He was shot and I had to figure out who. Black spots danced around my vision before my head hit the desk and everything went black.
****************
Whispers is all I heard when I woke up. I wasn't in my office where I last remember. What happed was the only question on my mind. I was so confused about what happened and where I was at. I sat up and looled around the room and saw my mom and dad talking and Kimberly asleep on the couch.
"What happened?" I asked with a scratchy voice.
My parents turned around and looked at me in shock as Kimberly woke up. She looked around and got up as she saw me awake. She quickly walked over and sat in the chair next to my bed.
"Are you okay?" She questioned as she held my face in her hands.
"Yeah but what happened?" I asked.
"When we told you Joseph was shot you kinda just passed out." My dad said with a slight chuckle.
"Is he okay?" I questioned.
"Oh he's fine." My mom said as she looked at me.
"I swear if that bastard is still out I'm gonna shoot him." Joseph shouts walking quickly into my room without a shirt and his stomache wrapped.
His arm was lightly pressed on his stomach as he looked really mad. Doctors rushed in after him trying to get him to go back and lay down.
"Leave me alone. Is the dumbass awake or do i need to wake him up for you?" He questioned as he looked at my parents.
"He's awake Joseph. Look." My dad said with a laugh as he pointed at me.
"Bout damn time. I have been awake for two days now and you're over there passed out like you haven't slept in a week." He said as he playfully glared at me.
"Yeah and calling me a bastard was pretty entertaining I assume." I said with a smirk.
"Damn right it is." He laughed slightly.
I was somehow in some black shorts and blue shirt. I got up after snatching my gun off the nightstand with a sigh. In seconds I was up and I made my way to my office and found Dean doing the paperwork.
"Dean?" I asked my voice still hoarse.
"Oh look you're up. I um did your paperwork so you wouldn't have too much to do when you woke up." He said and got up.
"Thanks Dean. I guess I can let your over the limit take out bill go." I said.
"Thanks Issaquah." Dean said before leaving.
"Yeah don't mention it." I mumbled after the door closed.
I sat down with a groan and put my head in my hands. I was tired and in pain. I shoved my chair back and stood up out of anger. A knock sounded and I shouted a come in. I turned around and saw my beautiful wife look at me with worried eyes.
"Are you okay Issaquah?" She questioned as I made my way to her.
"Yeah. I'm just tired and in pain." I said as I pressed our foreheads together.
"Come on." She said as she grabbed my hand.
I wasn't about to argue with her so I let her take me to where she wanted. She opened the door to our room and sat me down on the couch before grabbing some sweats and a hoodie from my side of the closet. I had a feeling I knew what she was doing. I heard the bath water start and I smiled to myself. She soon returned and grabbed my hand before smiling.
"You really need a bath and once you're out I will have food for you." She said with a smile.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist. I pulled her to me and pressed our foreheads together and our noses touching.
"What did I do to deserve you?" I asked before pressing a kiss to her soft lips.
