Issaquah's POV

"Dad?" The boys asked running to the door with their sister behind them.

"Where's your mom?" I whisper after telling them to be quiet. I wasn't supposed to be home from the meeting until next week but it ended earlier than expected.

"In the kitchen." My daughter said. I nodded and walked in and there stood my beautiful wife cooking lunch for the kids. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her neck. She hit me in the gut and turned quickly to see me holding my stomach groaning.

"Issac? I'm so sorry. You aren't supposed to be home until next week." She said as she helped me.

"It ended early so I thought I would surprise you." I groaned. She smiled and wrapped her arms around my waist and laid her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and laid my head on her's.

"I missed you so much." She whispered.

"I know Kim." I said and pulled away wrapping my arms around her waist and picking her up planting my lips to hers.

"I love you Issaquah." She laughed.

"I love you too Kimberly." I smiled setting her down. The kids ran in and wrapped their arms around my legs. I laughed and kneeled on the floor giving them all a hug.

Melanie's POV

I was happy my dad was back home from that meeting. I wasn't stuck with my two older brothers who were always loud. My mommy loved them though. She was always sure to play with us when we asked unless she was super busy.

Dad told us how he met mommy and he was always kind to her. I wanted something like mom and dad have. She was currently cooking while my dad would steal some peices. Mom would roll her eyes and dad would smile bigger.

"Dad, can you come play with us?" My brothers asked.

"Of course Kade and Alex." My dad said.

"Come on Mel, you can join too." My brothers said before grabbing my hands and dragging me outside. We ran around playing tag and when dad was it we all ran in the same direction. Soon enough he caught all of us and we all laughed.

"Dinner is ready." My mom said. Dad put us down and jogged to her with us running behind him. He gave mom a quick kiss and walked into the house. Kade and Alexander hugged mom and I hopped up wanting g to be picked up. She laughed but picked me up anyways.

"I love you momma." I said and kissed her cheek.

"I love you to princess." She smiled and kissed my cheek.

"What about us?" The twins whined at the same time.

"I love you guys too." My mom laughed.

"What about me?" My dad pouted making us all laugh.

"I love you daddy." I piped up. He smiled and stuck his tongue out at my mom before kissing my head.

Issaquah's POV

I set the food down for all of us and got us all drinks before I helped Kimberly take the kids to the dining room. They all smiled and talked as we ate. It was picture perfect at the moment until the door bell rang.

"I'll get it." I said and walked out fo the dining room. I grabbed my gun from the waistband of my jeans and went to the door. I opened it and Dean and my sister stood there with my niece and nephew.

"You had me worried for a second." I said and opened the door to let them in.

"You were going to shoot me. That hurts. I'm your best friend." Dean said.

"It was precautions Dean. Quit making a big deal about it." My sister said as I closed the door. She hugged me tightly as I put my gun away. I smiled and hugged her back just as tightly.

"Issac, who was at the door?" Kimberly asked as her and the kids came into the room.

"Kimmy dear, beautiful as ever." Dean said as he hugged her.

"Keep it to a minimum Dean." I said in a warning tone. After releasing my sister.

"Got it boss." He said. "But seriously, how are you Kimberly?"

"I'm fine." She replied as her and my sister hugged. I pick up the kids and hugged them before my kids and their cousins ran to their rooms.

"Behave yourselves." Kimberly and Alisa shouted after them.

"Now dinner time. I can smell the food from here." Dean said as he rubbed his hands together.

"Go help yourselves." I sighed and helped Kimberly pick up the plates the kids finished. We sat down with Dean and Alisa and ate as we talked about absolutely nothing.

"Do you have beer in the house?" Dean asked with his head in the fridge.

"No. We didn't want the kids to get into something like that." I said to which Kimberly smiled. She had begged me to get rid of all the beer before the kids were born. I agreed to it to make her happy and because she didn't want the kids to be around that kind of stuff. She was happy knowing that I was supporting her decision about this. Even if I have a drink every once in a while it's never around the kids. She's against it completely but she makes exceptions. She doesn't want me coming home drunk so she has limited me to at most 2 drinks.

"Why is there no beers?" Dean asked as he sat down with a coke.

"I don't want the kids around it." Kimberly said.

"They're going to be around it when they get older. We're in a gang." Dean said.

"I know but I don't want them around it when they're at home." Kimberly said defending her reasoning.

"So outside of your house you're okay with it?" Dean asked.

"Listen Dean, she didn't want to take the chance of them experiencing it the same way she did and if it means that there can't be any alcoholic drinks in this house then so be it. We agreed that when they are older drinking can be their choice but she does not want them around it all the time. She wants them to have a place to get away from it." I said defending my wife.

"Oh okay. That makes more sense now." He said. I slapped my head but smiled anyways. Kimberly gave me a quick kiss as a silent thanks.
