Third person POV
"Get her out of the water!" Someone screamed across the still water. A girl lay face down in the water. Creatures tried to get her but the water was too hot. They burned their hands and bodies. They tried with ropes and sticks to get her to the side. No one could get her. The twitchy boy by the water slowly lowered his legs into the water. He seemed to be unaffected by the heat. He walked toward the girl till he was barely reaching the floor. The current didnt push at him so he stood there, staring at the girl. He tried so hard to reach her.
"I-I-I c-cant r-reach he-er," he sighed and walked back to the shore.
"What do you mean cant get her?!" A female angrily yelled at the twitchy boy.
"I c-cant swim," the boy mumbled staring at the floating body.
"Great! The only one who doesn't get hurt by the boiling temperature cant swim! Fucking fantastic!" A paper white boy yelled with his carved smile somewhat in a frown.
"W-hy dd-do you c-care?! Y-you h-hate y-y/n," the twitchy boy stood up and faced the paper boy.
"Oh twitchy, I dont hate her. Shes a good fighter," the paste white boy yelled at the twitching male in front of him.
"Whatever," the female screamed over the boys bickering. "We just need to get her out of the water," the female voice sounded shakey, as if she was scared or worried.
"I-i c-can t-t-t-t, ugh, t-tr-try t-to g-ge-get t-to h-h-her," the twitchy boy stammers. He slowly lowered himself into the water. He walked as far as he could.
"Kick your legs and move your arms," the paper white boy shouted. "Like this," he imitated the motions of swimming. The twitchy boy tried and didnt get it right. He huffed and tried once more. He could get a few feet from the girl but then he couldnt anymore. He took a deep breath and sunk to the bottom. He managed to get to the shallow water and got a rope.
'If I can attach the rope to her in some way, I could sink and walk her to the shallow and drag her out,' the twitchy boy thought the himself. He began to 'swim,' if you could call it that, to the floating girl. He some how got her onto her back and she floated on her back. Water flowed out of the girls mouth and nose as she floated. She was breathing fine, the water didnt seem to effect her. The boy tried again. He got the rope around the girls foot and pulled her softly to the side of the river. The rope slipped and the boy walked to her. He grabbed her ankle and pulled her near him. He managed to get her to the edge were the others grabed her. He climbed out and stared at the girl.
"Oh y-y/n," he groaned as he kneeled next to her. "Y-you l-left m-me," he placed a hand on her forehead. "C-c-com-m-me b-b-back p-p-pl-pl-please," the boy begged. "I n-need you," he whispered. The girl began to spit up water. She started coughing.
Y/n pov
The water seemed to come out of my system. The air burned as it filled my lungs. The light was so bright I couldnt open my eyes. My limbs wouldnt move. I heard water splash around me. I couldnt move to see what it was. I stayed a float on top of the water.
'Hello?' I called out to the water. Nothing responded. 'Hello!' I screamed to the water. Nothing answered. The only noise was the the splashing in the water.
Something pulled on my foot and it stopped. Hands grabbed my ankle and pulled me through the water. People grabbed at me and pulled me to the land. I heard sloshing as something crawled out of the water.
"Oh y-y/n," Toby groaned. "Y-you l-left m-me," he placed a hand on my forehead. His hand was hot and it felt terrible on my skin.
"C-c-com-m-me b-b-back p-p-pl-pl-please," Toby begged. "I n-need you," he whispered to me. I tried to move again. Water began to fill up my lungs, I pushed the water out. The water flooded my lungs and I started to cough it out. I felt my body and I could move. I sat up and coughed the water out. I opened my eyes to be met with cold and scared eyes. Toby stared at me. I smiled at him still trying to cough up water."I'm good," I said hacking up water. "It just," I started to cough again. "It wont stop," I coughed up as much as I could. Still a little water remained. I held my head low. "I'm sorry," I whispered. Toby placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I-its o-ok," he kissed the top of my head lightly. "Y-youre safe a-a-and thatd t-t-the o-only t-thing t-t-th-that m-m-matters," he pulled me into a hug. "I-I l-love y-y-y-you," he whispered. I wrapped my arms around him.
"I love you too, Twitchy," I chuckled. He chuckled. "We should probably," I looked around. Several pastas stood around me. "Oh," I gasped as I stared at everyone. "H-how long have you been there?" I asked.
"I found you!" Jane said proudly as she placed her hands on her hips. "Well, Slender did, but he told me to save you he had matters to attend to," she said looking at the water.
"Ticky here cant swim! Did you know that?!" Jeff screamed throwing a knife into a tree.
"No," I whispered.
"You looked dead. You werent breathing, till Toby flipped you over," BEN said playing a game on a small console, I'm guessing a ds or something along those lines.
"You were blue!" Sally screamed holding her bear. "You looked dead, like how we do," she played with her bear.
"You're fine though, right?" E.J. asked playing with his scalpel in his pocket.
"Yes, I still need both of my kidneys," I chuckled.
"Just promise me when you dont I get them?" I nodded.
"We should go though. Its gonna get dark soon," I said looking at the water. "I dont want to know what is coming out of there when it's dark," I mumbled.
"What do you mean, 'what is coming out of there?' Is something in the water?" Jane asked.
"I, um, something, uh. Nevermind. Let's just go," I got up and started coughing again. My lungs began to burn and I couldnt breathe. I felt something poor out of my mouth but I couldnt see. My vision became blurry and I lost all sight of color.
"It's ok," Toby twit hed as he rubbed my back and I fell to my knees. "Cough it out," he began to slightly pat my lower back, which I have to say was helping me cough.
I stopped coughing and my lungs still burned. It was a slight burn, as if I was breathing in frosty air.
"Ok, cmon let's go guys," Jane spoke up leading the group of pastas back to the house. Grinny cat sat in front of me and I picked her up. I pet her and walked back to the mansion. I never imagined Grinny Cat would like me, but I'm not complaining. Smile Dog also walked by my side the entire walk, but he loved me so I didnt question it either.
I walked through the doors of the mansion and immediately tired hit me, like someone punched me in the face. I felt my knees weaken and my eyelids became impossible to keep open. My arms became heavy and I let Grinny Cat down. She meowed at me and walked off. I felt hands grasp around my waist.
"You l-look sleep-py," the fimiliar stutter whispered in my ear. "L-let me h-h-help you t-t-t-to b-bed," I felt him twitch at my neck. He pulled one of my arms over his neck and my eyelids wouldnt stay open. He made me grasp one hand with the other around his neck and picked up my legs and wrapped them around his torso. He carried me up to his room and sat me down. I felt myself plop and him remove my shoes and wet clothes. I felt the odd feeling of him dressing me again with dry warm clothes. He tried to not touch my skin though. He was being kind and gentle, as if I was a delicate snowflake.
I felt him slide one of his hoodies over me. I could tell by the way it smelled just like him. I nuzzled my face into the fabric. "Thank you," I mumbled. I cuddled his blankets and felt a weight move behind me. Toby's arms wrapped around my waist and a blanket was being pulled over me. I moved closer to the warmth coming from Toby.
"I-I l-l-l-lov-v-ve y-you," he whispered.
"I love you too," I whispered back and snuggled him. I eventually fell asleep after several twitches and ticks from Toby, which I missed oh so much, so they put me to sleep faster.
