I awoke to the haunting calls of the Adhan echoing through the room, and the unmistakable poke of a finger jabbing my side.

"Seriously? typical Munira, always the annoying one, let me sleep for two more minutes." I groaned, rolling over.

"Are you for real?" She smirked, hands on her hips. "I brought what you asked for. Now get up, eat, and get ready to go feed your husband!"

With that, I hopped out of the bed and began changing into a red crop top and high-waisted skirt, topped with a Fatimah Mou abaya. Finally, I was free from that dreaded hospital

The door creaked open, revealing Ammi. She looked both stressed and stunning, her presence instantly calmed my nerves. I dropped the mug I was holding and rushed to greet her, but she was quicker, enveloping me in a warm embrace.

"Afrah, take it easy! How are you feeling?" she asked, her eyes searching mine.

"I'm okay, Ammi, Alhamdulillah na warke."I replied, my shyness overtaking me, this was not the usual Afrah.

She smiled, glancing over at Munira . "I hope you're feeding her well."

"Of course, Ammi! I am, but she keeps refusing to eat,"Zara chimed in, feigning innocence.

"Ammi, she's lying I've eaten!"

"No, i will not hear of it. Munira, bring the food over here. Let me feed her myself!"

With a flurry of movement, Muni rushed to the warmers, piling food onto a plate. I chuckled, remembering how she always complained about my laid-back attitude toward food back in school.

To my surprise, Ammi really did start feeding me. I felt like a toddler, and I was too afraid to breathe, lest I upset this delicate balance. Meanwhile, Muni was off to the side, videotaping the entire ordeal and laughing at my plight.

AFAAN'S P.O.V
Meanwhile, in my hospital room, I was bored out of my mind. Three days had passed, and I couldn't take it any longer. With determination, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up. To my surprise, moving around wasn't as painful as I expected. I adjusted my shirt, then headed out. Bullz had mentioned that Afrah's room was right next to mine, and I longed to see her.

I approached her room with ease and I heard laughter spilling from inside. I pushed the door open gently, and there they were: Ammi perched on the bed with Afrah, feeding her while Munira poked her tongue out at Afrah whenever Ammi wasn't looking.

"Munii, I'll need that video," I said with a sly grin as they turned to face me.

"Oh hello Ya Afaan, Ya Jiki? " Munira greeted, her face lighting up. Afrah, however, shot her a glare that could cut glass.

"What are you doing walking around like that? You're supposed to be in bed!" Ammi chided me while Afrah smirked.

"Yes Ma , I actually came to feed my wife, but it looks like you beat me to it."

At that, Afrah sputtered on the water she was drinking, coughing slightly. Ammi rushed to her side, concern etched across her face. I couldn't help but smirk.

"Ammi ? can I borrow my wife, please?" I asked sweetly, lacing my words with a hint of sarcasm.

"Of course! Isn't she your wife, ja'irin yaro?"

"Afrah Kin ji dai , your husband is here for you, he has come to relieve me, but if you don't want to go with him, just tell me, and you can stay here," Ammi added.

I could see Afrah's inner conflict. She stared at me while I stood with arms crossed, smirking, clearly aware that she wouldn't say no.

Eventually, she got up and followed me to my room. I plopped down on the bed, leaving her standing there awkwardly.

"Thank you," she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.

"For what?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I didn't thank you for saving me. I owe you one."

I grinned.

"Did I?" I feigned ignorance, but I could see the exasperation in her eyes.

"You know you did."

"Ermmm... So why did you get me from my room?"

"Because you're my nanny, remember? You said you owe me one, so can you be a darling and come over here?"

Rolling my eyes, I gestured for her to join me. She obliged and lay her head on my chest, and for a moment, the world faded away. I could only hear the steady beat of my heart, creating a sense of protection and security. This was where I belonged, with my annoying wife.

Just then, a loud knock interrupted our moment. I felt her squirm beneath me, trying to escape from my tight embrace.

"Afaan, please let me go! Someone's at the door!" she half-whispered, half-screamed.

"Meh? you have to be romantic!" I winked, enjoying the moment.

Another loud bang on the door echoed through the room.

"Please, baby, let me go!" she pleaded, almost on the verge of tears.

Reluctantly, I let her go, and as she scrambled to the door, she tripped and landed hard on her butt.

Bullz burst in first, glancing down at her and then at me, struggling to contain his laughter. I knew he wasn't alone, and as the rest of the guys filed in, I could see their amused expressions.

"No wonder. We were just in your room and found only Munira and Zara ! Ashe Ashe Ana nan," Mufadaal teased, wiggling his brows.

"Kai, ka bari kawai! We need to get married and fast, Mubarak!"

"I've already found my soulmate, Bullz. I'm out of that league," I replied with a smirk.

Bullz playfully punched me as they began asking me questions about my health.

Afrah's POV
I chuckled, loving their little banter, but I was exhausted. Leaning in close to Afaan, I whispered, "Goodnight, sai da safe " and turned to the guys, offering them a wave.

"You're not sleeping here with your teddy husband? Or did we interrupt something !" Bullz winked, and I shook my head, ignoring his antics.

"Only if teddy husband doesn't call me back!" I answered back with a laugh, I dashed to my room, and removed my phone from flight mode. My screen lit up with get-well-soon messages, and among them was a message from Afaan. My heart raced as I read it, and I practically jumped on Munira, causing her to squeal in surprise.

"What's wrong with you?" she asked, her eyes wide.

I pointed at my phone, and Zara snatched it off the bed, reading aloud, "Does Bora Bora sound good? 💋"
