"There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be..."
"This story is a gripping tale of desire , jealousy , and unforgettable characters as real as the emotions that bring them together"
This is a story about Khadija afrah and afaan...
Everything seemed to freeze. Right in front of me stood Afaan, laughing and chatting with some girl. My eyes dropped to my outfit, then to the delicate white rose I was holding. Why did I ever think Afaan would love me? I wasn't even sure if I had feelings for him... or did I?
I turned, wanting to walk away, but my feet felt like they were glued to the ground. This wasn't some cheesy romcom where I catch my husband with another woman and run off to cry in my room, leaving the symbolic white rose behind for him to find later. No. This was real life. And that man over there? That was my husband, and I had every right to confront him. With my hand clenched into a fist, I stormed toward them.
Afaan turned and locked eyes with me, his expression unreadable. Then, as casually as ever, he said to the girl, "You can leave."
What? Was he serious? Was Afaan really dismissing me in front of this... girl?
I took a step forward, but before I could react, his arm snaked around my waist, pulling me close. "Not you, babe," he whispered in my ear, sending a wave of heat rushing to my face.
"You look stunning, she helped me with the surprise for tonight by the way ." His voice was soft, almost dangerous.
Before I could process what just happened, he took my hand and led me somewhere after blindfolding me, and I could hear the excitement in his voice. "Wait for it, babe."
"Just take this off already!" I complained, feeling both curious and annoyed.
"Sabr Baby , Stop whining, we're almost there... Ah, there it is!" He removed the blindfold, and it took me a moment to adjust to the light.
We were seated on a plush white carpet surrounded by pillows and soft lights that illuminated his face perfectly. He looked... dangerously handsome, almost like a demon tempting me. Caught staring, he smirked.
