A/n: Hi. This book has been left un-updated for quite some fuckin' time, eh? The reason behind that is because my life has been going to shit and I've only started regaining the ability to work on these fanfics. In addition to that, I'm writing an actual book, so my time is mainly spent on that.
However, you seem to enjoy the book, and I thought I might as well work on it.

Over time, I've gotten better at writing, so any style change (such as the title) shouldn't come as a surprise.

I stare at the ceiling, thinking. All this was rushed into so quickly, it feels like some weird angsty novel that went from a twilight fanfiction to a real book and I find it improper. I look towards Katsuki, who was on his phone. I couldn't help but smile; despite the fact, this went down like an avalanche its still enjoyable to know that I'm able to grow closer to Katsuki.
"Hey, Kat," I sit up, leaning against the headboard of my bed-frame. Katsuki stares at his phone for a second more before peeling his gaze to me, cocking his eyebrow. "Want to go get ice-cream?" I ask, making him narrow his eyes, looking back at his phone as he turned it off.
"Sure, whatever," he huffs, sitting up himself. I smile warmly at him and stand from the bed, going to get my shoes on. I feel like a nice, gentle date with Katsuki might help soothe both of us into this relationship.

Once I got my shoes on, I looked over to Katsuki, watching him struggling to pull his sneakers on. He eventually walks over, slipping on a jacket - one of mine, actually, - as he approached, stopping in front of me. He stared at me with his resting bitch-face. I clicked my tongue, clapping my hands together.
"Let's go then, hum?" I smile, going to leave, but I'm stopped by Katsuki grabbing the collar of my shirt, gently pulling me down and connecting our lips together. Goddammit, this guy. Whenever he kisses me I feel fucking great. High. His soft lips against my own are so damn intoxicating and I really don't get it.
I always try and play cool, to play calmly. I succeed, that's pretty much my entire personality. I can easily predict people and what happens with them, and not caring or being blunt about things just helps me work around people, as not overreacting or reacting at all really makes things easier. Things with Katsuki, though, are weird. I'm still able to be laid-back but if he keeps this sort of shit up that might crack eventually. Even if it is my entire personality, he's rekindling a fire I didn't know I had - not even after being informed that I probably liked Katsuki. Ah, I didn't even know myself ... I need to start giving more shits, especially now that I've got him to take extra care of.

We head out, walking down the street to our conveniently located ice cream parlor. I look around the scenery we pass by, all the chattering groups of people, items through display windows of shops, small critters scattering around trees and bushes. It's very relaxing. I take my gaze to Katsuki. He glared at people who passed by (who kept a significant distance from us,) his hands in the pockets of the jacket he was wearing. I exhale, narrowing my eyebrows. The first time I want to try and do something romantic without being "in the mood" and he's unavailable. No, I'll just- force it to work. Let's hope that doesn't mess the sentiment up.
I reach over, slipping my hand into one of the pockets Katsuki's hand was in. He quickly looks at me, daring to pull his hand away - but I can tell he stopped himself. I intertwined our fingers within the pocket, lightly pulling our hands out the pocket and smiling at him, looking back ahead of myself. We get closer to the parlor when I look at Katsuki, who had his lips pursed, now just staring at the ground as his feet dragged behind him.
"You okay?" I ask, a bit concerned with his stance, as he was very obviously leaning over himself, in a more shy way than his usual grumpy posture.
"Yes-" he glares at me. "Just ..." he pulls lightly against my grip. "What are we supposed to do if someone from school fucking sees us?" he asks, scrunching up his nose. I stare at him. Ouch. Is being with me that embarrassing? How mean.
"Well," I let his hand go "We don't have to do anything like that," I say. We don't, really. If he doesn't want to then I ain't gonna force him to do anything if he's uncomfortable, which would be understandable with his big ego that would probably shatter if ever seen touching shoulders with another human being.
"Um," he stays silent for a couple of moments, before reaching out and roughly grabbing my hand again. "No," and he says nothing further as we walk the rest of the way to the parlor.

We arrive and enter the building, going to the front. I peer into the display case at all the flavors with a smile. Katsuki pulls his hand from mine and stuffs it back into his pocket. Seems his ego got the best of him. We decide our flavors and order, quickly receiving our cones, as the parlor was small and not that busy.
The two of us head to a small table in the corner of the shop and sit down. Katsuki and I didn't order anything fancy, just cones. Lapping up the top of my ice-cream, I watch as Katsuki picks at the blemishes on the table, not having yet begun eating his ice-cream.
"It's nice and relaxing, isn't it, Kat?" I speak up, resting my head on my hand as I watch his head perk up from the sound of my voice. He grunts as he bit off the crown of his ice-cream, provoking me to wince.
"It's fine," he mumbled as he twirled his cone in his hand. I smile as I watch him enjoy his treat, before going back and doing the same for my own. It is rather quiet in this small shop. It smells of a variety of flavors, which is relatively delightful. Looking out the window as a couple walked by holding eyes, I sighed. 'How long will it take for me and Kat to be like that, ' I  wonder, continuing to consume my ice-cream. It's wrong to compare me and him to others, but I can't help it. We went from a strange dynamic of friends to this ... Where both of us are too nervous to be how we were before. It was difficult to be how I usually am when he confessed. I was taken aback, still am. It's been hard to keep up my conventional structure, but I've been managing. I'm just wondering how long until I can't help but be flooded with these emotions Katsuki is graciously fucking me up with.

Katsuki's Perspective

I glance over at [Y/n] again. He's staring out the window, only occasionally taking licks at his ice-cream. Biting my tongue, I lean against the back of my chair and let my gaze drift off to the insignificant number of others in the small establishment. I keep replaying what happened that night. I keep thinking back to what I said. I said I loved him. I don't understand, it feels so weird. I meant it, sure, but it feels weird changing what has been going on for years now. We've been the same since childhood, who am I to say we should change everything because I feel some way? I've noticed [Y/n]'s more uneasy tendencies, and I can't help but think that maybe if I hadn't said anything, we wouldn't be in this situation where it's hard to even talk.
And then there's the whole thing about PDA. Who will we let know about this? I don't want anyone to know, but that seems jerkish. Perhaps if we're able to push past the idea of us being together, nothing would change in public? What's to tell that we won't be exactly the same, merely with a label?
Feeling my ice-cream drizzle down my hand, I'm snapped from my thoughts and I slowly resume eating my cone, looking at [Y/n]. He licks a long line up his ice-cream before he glances at me, winks, and looks out the window again. I groan in false annoyance and chip off a bit of the cone, chewing on it slowly.
"Look, I know this is sudden and it feels like just yesterday we weren't on speaking terms, but I want to see where this goes, y'know?" [Y/n] speaks up and I just dig further into my ice-cream. I see his hand in my peripheral as he entwines our hands together over the table. I feel warmth creeping up my neck as I swiftly look at him. He smiles and holds my hand tighter in his. I slowly nod, trying to respond with words, but every endeavor is choked down by my own embarrassment. "I seriously like you, kitten," he says in a low whisper and I bite the inner of my cheek, looking to the side. My teeth grit as I squeeze my eyes closed. I love him too. I do, I know I do. Why can't I just fucking admit it!?
He stands and leans over the table, pressing a kiss to my forehead as I move the hand clasping my cone so I don't get ice-cream on him.
"Goddammit, I love you too, dumbass!" I shout before I purse my lips and allow my head to hang. I took a deep breath, rapidly looking around to see if anyone heard me, but mostly everyone left so no one really did. I hear his rich chuckle that ignites an odd sensation in my chest as he sits back down, smirking as he dug his tongue into his cone to dig out the remainder of his ice-cream.
"I'm glad you do ..." he says softly as he bit off a chunk of his cone. I nod and finish what was left of my ice-cream before starting on the cone as he was.
