Ayame pov
I peeked into Mitsumi's room. I needed to tell Yuki I was heading off to work, and to ask if they wanted me to bring them some lunch.
What I saw surprised me slightly, but given his reactions last night, not too much.
Mitsumi was laying in the center on the bed. Yuki was holding her in his arms with his face buried in her hair.
He had worked his way around the curse by wrapping a blanket around Mitsumi, so that it was acting as a barrier.
She appeared pleased enough with the situation, she was pressed against him with her hands flat against his chest.
To the best of my ability I could tell they were both so deeply asleep nothing short of an earthquake would wake them.
I admired my brother, he knew what he wanted, when to defend it, how to treat it, and how to treasure it. And he was, he was treasuring this girl like he would his life.
Like she was a flower and he the sun.
I could tell by the way his arms tightened she shifted and relaxed when she winced right after.
I could tell by the way he inhaled her scent.
I could tell by the way he was wrapped around her.
It was impossible to miss.
"I'll just leave them a note." I decided quietly.
I closed the door and slipped downstairs.Later, I held still while Mine fixed the lace on a dress.
"And you think they'll be happy together?" She asked.
I smiled fondly as I pictured the scene this morning.
"Happier than any person ever under the zodiac curse. He loves her, maybe more than he realizes."
"Does she love him?" Mine asked.
"I believe so. I don't think she realizes how much, but when you look at them...its obvious."
