24 Epilogue

"Don't wake mommy just yet." Yuki whispered to a small girl with silver hair and brown eyes. She was 7.
A smaller boy of 4 peeked around his fathers legs. His brown hair was everywhere, but his large silver eyes stared at his mother innocently.
"We have to bring in the cake first right?" The girl asked.
Yuki quietly shut the door and nodded.
"That's right. Would you like to go get it while I wake mommy?"
"Yes! Come on!" The girl tugged her brother into the kitchen while Yuki sat down beside the mass of blankets.
"Mitsumi. The kids and I have a surprise for you." He gently shook the pile of blankets. They shifted and a wave of brown hair poked it's way out of the mess.
"Hm? What? Please no more dresses. I already chose next months design..." She mumbled.
Yuki laughed softly. "No, the kids and I have a surprise for you. Come on." He stood and started moving the blankets.
Mitsumi sat up and rubbed her eyes to wake up. She was still fully clothed in her business suit.
"What happened?"
"You fell asleep on the couch." Yuki gave her a quick kiss. "Come on, or the kids'll wake you up."
"I'm up!" Mitsumi stood and Yuki caught her with a laugh. "Wow prince charming, you sure know how to wake someone up." She teased.
"Yeah, I do. Come on." Yuki led her out of the living room and into the kitchen. She gasped as she spotted the large cake on the counter.
"Happy birthday mommy!" The 2 children yelled. Mitsumi laughed.
"Did daddy help make this?" She asked.
"Nope!" The little girl beamed, "Auntie Torhu helped!"
"Then it's safe to eat." Mitsumi laughed.
"So I may be lacking the talent." Yuki grinned as the sound of a car pulling up was heard.
"Auntie Torhu! Uncle Kyo!" The children raced outside.
"Everyone is coming over to celebrate." Yuki informed her as he held her close.
Mitsumi hummed and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Yeah? Do I get my birthday kiss?"
"If the queen wishes." Yuki smiled as he leaned down to kiss his wife.
