"Would you please stop pouting?" Yuki asked as he wrapped a blanket around me.
I kept my arms crossed. "I could have walked." I grumbled.
"Sure, I'm letting you out of bed and you're complaining about how you got up here."
Yuki sighed and moved in front of me to make sure the blanket was wrapped securely around me.
"You didn't have to carry me."
"I could just bring you back downstairs." Yuki shrugged as he sat beside me.
"Fine." I huffed and leaned against him. "I'll stop complaining."
"Good girl."
I smiled softly as Yuki put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer. As it turned out, as long as there was a blanket between us he wouldn't turn into a rat.
"Hey, it's a clear sky tonight."
I looked up and my eyes widened. I inhaled slowly as I stared at the stars.
There wasn't a single cloud anywhere in the sky, and every star was clearly visible.
"It's gorgeous." I whispered in awe. I beamed at Yuki, "isn't it beautiful?"
Yuki smiled and glanced at the sky. "Yeah. It really is."
I returned my gaze to the stars and simply watched them for hours. By the time my eyes had started to feel heavy Yuki had placed several more blankets over us.
"Are you ready to go back inside?" Yuki asked.
I shook my head. "Just a little longer?" I asked pleadingly as I looked at him.
"Just a little longer." He agreed. I smiled and leaned against him completely as I continued to admire the sky.
"It'll probably never be this clear again." I realized sadly.
"Just enjoy it." Yuki kissed the top of my head and pulled the blanket tighter around me.
"Thank you Yuki."
"For what?"
I smiled and tilted my head, not moving my line of sight from the stars.
"Just everything."
Yuki laughed softly. "Yeah. You're welcome."
I smiled and let my eyes drift shut as I relaxed in his warmth.
