Hello, Lovelies,
I can't believe that I finished a book I started when I was fifteen! It's an amazing feeling. Thank you all for being on this journey with me. I love my readers. I love interacting with you. To everyone who left comments, voted and supported me you are amazing! Please check out the covers above and let me know what you think. I wanted to come back and answer more questions. So, there is more. I was getting ready for a vacation out of state when I finished this book. So, I came back to take my time on the questions.
1.) Do you have more books planned? Absolutely. I'll never stop writing. As a matter of fact, I not only have the books that you see on my profile but I also have so many ideas and partially finished manuscripts that I want to finish. I'm always thinking and I write down everything. So, you can pretty much expect me to be writing for the full length of my life. Let's hope it's a long one.
2.) What genres do you write? At the moment, I write paranormal, paranormal romance, suspense romance, dystopian, historical paranormal, contemporary romance and dark romance. I probably will not stick to these genres exclusively. I just write whatever comes into my head. It's more comfortable for me that way.
3.) Will there be a paperback? Yes, there will eventually be a paperback. I'll let you know when that happens. Right now, Burned needs to go through editing which will begin soon.
4.) Do you write in other places besides Wattpad? I have books published on Amazon under the name Amanda K. Dudley-Penn. You'll find that Beckoned is on there but I am reworking it on Wattpad and it will be different than the version on Amazon. As a matter of fact, I will probably be reworking them all through Wattpad. My new books will be published under Amanda Penn when published in paperback.
5.) What writing advice would you give? There is so much I want to say on this subject but I'll try to keep it brief. The first thing is don't give up. Never give up No matter what anyone says don't do that. Also, learn the difference between criticism and constructive criticism. Constructive criticism doesn't tear your book to shreds. There is always something redeemable in writing. A person who gives constructive criticism gives advice and not just negative comments. Learn everything you can about grammar. It helps immensely. I'm not an expert on grammar but I've come a long way since I began. Learn vocabulary. Learn a new word and its meaning every day. You would be amazed at how much this helps your writing. Don't be competitive. I've seen so many writers fall because they are competitive. Readers will read multiple books. There is no reason for it. Write what you know but learn what you don't. In other words, if you don't know it, research it. Learn it. Study people. Pay attention to the way they move their hands and their expressions and how they react to things. Gain empathy and ask why they do things. Which brings me to ask questions about everything that you're curious about. Remember, though we all dream of success, we are creatives. Don't focus on making it. Focus on the story. Each time it's read view that as a success because it is.
6.) How do I write so many books at once? I'm putting this one in here because I've been asked multiple times. I use my quirks to my advantage. I schedule everything. If you have noticed I have certain books on certain days. I have a list that needs to be done every day. I have a set time to work throughout the day. I have children so I have things I do with them in between those work times. If I finish the list early, I usually use the rest of that time to give you bonus chapters. I use every bit of time scheduled for my books. I'm also an insomniac so you often get chapters on those nights too. Writing helps calm my brain for sleep.
7.) Do I read? Oh yes...You have to read to be a writer. You can learn from other authors. Besides, when you read or study art or anything creative, it helps your imagination because you actually ask questions and learn to empathize.
8.) Would you like your books to become movies or television series? Honestly, it would be wonderful to see my characters on screen. Besides, I really am curious about that part of the business.
9.) Where do you get your inspiration? The answer is everywhere. I got the idea of this book because we were studying about the witch trials in history and reading Bram Stoker's Dracula in English. I kept thinking about it and this book was formed.
10.) Do you recommend any other authors on Wattpad? It really depends on what you read but I've made lists on my profile of my favorite books. I add to it constantly. I have them separated into genre. I do hope you'll check out the other authors. There are so many. For some reason, when I tag on here it covers up words. So, I will put 5 authors whose books I l love below.
Again, thank you for reading. Hopefully, you'll join me again with Singed.
