Day 20 - I should've danced with you longer
"I'm sorry I didn't talk to you sooner." Those were the only words that came out of her mouth. A series of apologies and regrets showering altogether at the very last night they'd see each other. She was a fool for not telling him how she felt, but he knew it anyway.
She wanted to hug him longer, and he wanted to hold her hands tighter. They were two cowards in love. Like the Sun and the Moon, both afraid to touch too closely. But she hugged him, and they danced.
"But I don't know how to dance." She trembled between her words. But instead he hugged her, and swayed her slowly, making her feel safe and secure. As they danced the whole world stopped around them, and she wished that it wouldn't end.
But she was a coward.
When they let go of each other's arms he held her hand and she held it too. "You'll always be the best person that I've met. I'm sorry." It was all he could say. They stood across each other, mouthing words and then holding them back. Lucas had so much to say, but she didn't know where to start.
The room echoed loud songs and laughters, but they were too sad to even mind. All Lucas wanted was to stare at his eyes as it stared back, afraid that one blink and he'll be gone.

Lucas looked through her journal one last time, staring at the letters she wrote. All her things have been packed, all ready to go. She placed down her pen on top of the boxes, before closing the old notebook shut.
"I wish I could see you again."
Yours truly,
Lucas.
