Emma
"Watch out!" I jerked my arms to the right, turning the steering wheel to the side and swerving back into our lane as Regina quickly moved back to her seat and rested her head on the head board. I heard her labored breathing steady and a light chuckle escape her lips. "Really Ms. Swan, you need to have your eyes on the road at all times." I smiled and let a small laugh escape me. After a moment I clear my throat and glue my eyes to the road.
"Yeah, well, its kind of hard to focus when you're around me." I mumble in all honesty as I shift in my seat slightly.
"Oh?"
"Yes." I look at her out of the corner of my eye and see her biting her lip, a smirk following shortly after that. Focusing back on following Mary Margaret's car, we take a few turns and before we know it, we're at the sheriffs station.
Getting out of my car and walking in, Regina, Mary Margaret and I were all greeted by David. He was leaned against the door frame, arms crossed over his holster-covered chest and ankles crossed over one another in a casual fashion.
"David? What are you doing here?" I ask as I pull my beanie off and fix my hair. He opens his mouth to speak but is interrupted by the petite brunette beside me.
"I may or may not have already texted him." She says as she adjust her purse more on her shoulder. Regina's eyebrows raise in amusement that I don't understand and I turn back to David.
"I've already searched through town security cameras and locals...nobody knew anything and there was no suspicious footage on the tapes." He says. I nodded.
"We know that they must be in the woods, I think it would have been a little unnessasary to knock us unconsious if the kidnapper had nothing to hide..." I shrug my shoulders and rub the back of my head as I feel the throbbing of pain return with the memory. There is a moment of silence.
"She's right." Regina speaks up in her stern voice. We all jump slightly but she doesn't act on it, only continues what she was saying before. "But we can't go back without a plan." She reaches in her coat pocket and pulls out a folded note. While extending her arm out to me and offering the paper she continues talking. "This was in your pocket last night when we escaped." I take the paper and open it, reading the contents inside with worry.
Come after Henry again and I'll kill you.
Shit. I looked back to Regina, who had a worried look on her face, and grimaced. Without breaking eye contact with her I handed the paper to Mary Margaret and clenched my jaw.
"Can I speak with you for a moment?" I ask. "Alone?" She nods and walks out the door, me in close pursuit, leaving a confused man and woman behind us. Once we step into the hall way and turn the corner, I lean against the wall, folding my arms over my chest. Regina mirrors me. "What are we supposed to do?" I mumble and I look away, biting my lip to keep from launching on the mayor standing only a few inches away from me.
"Well Barbie and Ken back there are just going to slow us down." she says with sarcasm as she tilts her head to the side in thought. The left collar of her shirt is somehow shifted in this movement and reveals a view to her black bra. "And-Ms. Swan my eyes are up here." she says and I realize I was staring. A light blush covers my cheeks and I squeeze my eyes shut to control myself.
"Sorry." I mutter and look away again. "Continue." She starts up again with no hesitation.
"And I honestly don't think we need any help." she finishes.
"What about Graham?"
"What about him?" She raises an eyebrow, daring me to go on.
"Is there any way he could help? I mean, he is sheriff after all." she looks down and shakes her head.
"Do you see our dear sheriff here, Emma? No, exactly. I'd imagine he doesn't want to be any where near me right now." I open my mouth to speak but close it due to a loss of words. Regina says all this with little to no emotion and I realize that she has her mask back on. So instead of pushing her, I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her flush against me. She gasps quietly at the sudden embrace and places her hand gently on my forearms.
"So what exactly is the plan?" I whisper. She stares at my lips for a few short moments and then into my eyes.
"I-" she stops and swallows. For a moment I thought I was dreaming. Had I, Emma Swan, left Regina Mills, mayor of always-knows-what-to-say-Storybrooke speechless?
I leaned forward and locked my lips with hers. Her hands tightened their grip on my arms. I took her bottom lip in between my teeth and pulled, receiving a core burning moan in return. She pulled back quickly, as if the thought of herself showing affection was weakness and she couldn't have it. She then placed a gentle hand to my chest, which was rising and falling in an uneven pace.
"I don't know, Emma?" she says, already regained of her composure. My eyebrows raise in question.
"Sorry?" I reply, out of breath.
"What exactly is the plan?" A small smirk tugs at my lips and I lean against the wall once more. After thinking for a moment, I realize that we probably don't need any help from anyone because working together, Regina and I are pretty much unstoppable.
"We grab some guns, ditch the mindless wonders, eat some lunch and leave at nightfall to go get our son back." I say and a wicked smirk spreads across the gorgeous brunettes lips.
Maybe what Henry says is true about her being the evil queen and all, because right now, with the look she's giving me, I would not want to be the kidnapper who stole our son from us.
