Again, I’m skipping a few months (sorry!) so the babies are all over 6 months!

————————————

Ashton: He couldn’t believe how quickly his little girl was growing. It seemed like only yesterday the two of you were bringing her home and now, he was watching her as she pulled herself along with her arms. You came through from the kitchen, taking a seat on the couch next to Ashton. “She’s getting so big.” he whispered. You nodded smiled, “Do you think she’s going to crawl soon?” He shrugged before moving from the couch to the floor, sitting with his long legs apart. Jessie looked up at him from her building blocks, a smile coming across her face as she recognised her daddy. He smiled as she put one little hand down on the carpet before looking up at him uncertainly. “Come on,” he encouraged, “Come to daddy.” Finally, she slowly made her way across the carpet, stopping a few times to look up at Ashton before continuing. He lifted her above his head once she had reached him, “Who’s my clever girl? (Y/N), did you see that?” You nodded, a large smile coming across your face as you watched him sprinkle kisses all over her little face.

Calum: "(Y/N)!" you heard Calum call urgently, making you drop the mug you were washing into the sink before rushing through to the living room. "What’s wrong?" you cried, freezing as you saw one of the twins crawling across the floor to reach their bottle that was laying a few feet away. "Oh…" you whispered, kneeling down on the carpet to watch. "Noah," you heard Callum say quietly and you looked over to see the little boy in his lap looking up at him before he looked at Andrew. "Does Noah want to try and crawl too?" he asked, placing the boy down on the carpet, "Go on buddy, crawl to mummy." Noah looked at Andrew again before attempting to copy him. "That’s it." you whispered, "Just a little bit further." He suddenly stopped, falling onto his stomach, his eyes finding yours as you smiled softly. "Almost," you whispered, scooping him into your arms, brushing some of his dark hair from his face, "You’ll get it soon baby." Cooing to himself, he loved the attention he was getting and grabbed onto your finger.

Luke: "You’ll never guess what your son did today." you smiled across the table at Luke. "What?" he asked. "Well, I thought he was trying to crawl at first, but then when he didn’t do it, I sat him up, y’know, just to see what he would do and he started doing this little bum shuffling thing…it was really cute." you informed him and he let out a little laugh. "Really?" Nodding, you let him take your plate so he could put them in the dishwasher while you got Darren from the bouncy chair he was sitting in before sitting him down on the floor. "Can you show daddy what you done earlier?" you asked before moving to stand beside Luke, who was standing by the door. Darren whined a little, his bottom lip wobbling as you walked away from him. "Come on," Luke encouraged, crouching down, "Come see mummy." The little boy looked between the two of you before using one hand behind him and one of his feet to propel himself forward. "Is this his version of crawling?" Luke asked, watching as you picked Darren up. "I think so." you mumbled, kissing Darren’s hair lightly, "Some babies never crawl." The two of you weren’t worried; you knew that if your little boy was going to crawl, he’d do it in his own time. Besides, there was nothing wrong with bum shuffling.

Michael: You and little Amy were waiting for Michael to come home from the studio since they had the afternoon off. While waiting, you were getting her things all packed up. “When daddy comes home, we’re gonna go to the park and see the ducks. You like the ducks, don’t you?” you cooed, bending down to lay her on the soft rug while you went into the kitchen to grab a few things. When you came back, you froze when you saw that Amy was no longer in the spot you had left her. “Amy?” you called, moving around the couch to see her making a beeline for the hallway, where you heard the door slam shut. “Aww, is my little girl excited to see her daddy?” Michael cooed, crouching down to lift her into his arms before grinning at you. You let out a breath you were holding in and rubbed Amy’s back. “Don’t do that again,” you whispered, knowing that she wouldn’t understand you, “You almost gave mummy a heart attack.” Michael shrugged, taking the bag you were holding before slipping it onto his shoulder, “I can’t help that she likes me better.”
