It was already afternoon and it's been just a few hours since Rocky and you said goodbye to each other; today it was meant to be just for you two, like a goodbye to the love you once had for each other. Still, both of you promised each other to keep on being best friends.
Right now, you are at your house while making some calls through the phone, after all, work is first before doing anything else for today. Your current job is to get the attires and props for the coming music video of a group of Pledis, which is actually looking in a good direction.
You hang up as soon as you got the information you wanted from the seller, instantly, you wrote the information down on your computer and send it to the producer of the music video. Suddenly, you received a call through Skype in your computer, and surprisingly, it was Moonbin calling.
Without hesitation, you answered.
-Hey, how's everything going over there? – You asked as you kept on working.
-Good, I can't complain – Moonbin told. –I see that you are pretty busy – He said.
-Just a little bit but you always know that I have time for you – You smiled while putting your pen down, you looked at him and you noticed sadness on his face. –Are you alright? – You asked.
-I don't know – Moonbin sighed. –I'm at the dorms – He said.
-I know, Rocky told me – You said while looking away from him.
-Oh, so Rocky was there? – Moonbin asked surprised.
You hummed in a yes as you kept on writing on the notebook. –We had a moment – You disclosed.
-What does that mean? – Moonbin asked.
-We ended things and for now on, both of us will be just best friends – You assured. –You don't have to worry anymore – You added.
You inhaled some air before looking at him. –He told me how uncomfortable you were with him, that's why he searched for me – You stated.
-You know, I'm not mad at that Y/N – Moonbin admitted. –Today I think it was the only time for us to end things for our own sake – He sighed.
-What are you talking about? – You asked confused.
-Eunwoo confessed to me, he admitted his love for me – Moonbin said while looking away from you. –We had a moment too; we kissed – He said sadly.
-That's a good thing, why you are sad about it? – You asked.
-Because I betrayed you and, I wasn't thinking about you when I was kissing him... I thought of him and it made me feel confused – Moonbin admitted.
-Hey, relax... I'm not mad – You told. –Anyways, what did he say? – You asked.
-He told me that everything would be the same, our friendship would be stronger and so do the group itself – Moonbin disclosed. –I don't know, Y/N... I don't want him to suffer – He said concerned.
-I know that feeling – You said with a pitiful smile.
-With Rocky, right? – He questioned.
-Yes... he's my best friend and Eunwoo is yours, but in the end, I think they want our happiness – You spoke. –Rocky call it quits since our anniversary is coming – You added.
-Our friendship's anniversary is before our couple's anniversary, why would he do that? – Moonbin asked.
-Maybe he wanted to move on from what we had before it was too late – You guessed, then you chuckled a tad. –He also said that we had a lot of anniversaries – You spoke while realizing a settle smile.
-He's right about that – Moonbin chuckled a tad.
You looked down to the papers on the table, then you started to organize them all as Moonbin kept watching you. The silence appeared in between the conversation and the words you thought you could say again, weren't coming out.
-Did you kiss Rocky? – Moonbin asked, almost regretting it.
-Yes but not the lips, just cuddles – You admitted. –And you don't need to tell me what you did with Eunwoo, I just hope you two had fun – You teased.
-Yah... we didn't do that – Moonbin said embarrassedly. –We just kissed, deeply – He said before letting out a sigh.
-I hope enjoyed it – You smiled pitifully.
-No, you don't – Moonbin claimed. –And I'm sorry for not giving you the place you deserve, I'm sorry for not being loyal to you... but I don't know what happened – He stuttered.
-Moonbin, don't blame yourself, I understand – You said while looking at him; he's almost crying on that bed. –I was the first one to make you go through this with Rocky, I think is fair if I have a payback – You told.
-You are way too good to deserve this – Moonbin said while shedding a couple of tears.
-Don't cry if I'm not there – You murmured while looking at him concerned. –Come home, let me console you, please – You said.
Moonbin nodded before ending the call. You looked away while tears started to fall down your cheeks, then you cleared out your throat before texting your boss telling him some other details for the comeback the group will have. After that, you called it a day and decided to place your things in order of the work. Now, your main priority is Moonbin and keep him away from the way he's feeling inside.
*Hours later*
Finally, you are laying down on the bed with Moonbin by your side and while holding his hand you are caressing his hair gently. He's been crying for a while now and you can't help but feel guilty, for some reason you feel responsible for his suffering.
Perhaps I went too far with the jokes about a trio in between his best friend and us...
-You are blaming yourself way too much – Moonbin whispered.
-Hmm, I'm not – You smiled.
-You are – He insisted. –I never thought this could happen – He said softly, almost murmuring.
You leaned closer to him and kissed his forehead, then you cleaned the tears he was dropping.
-My moon – You sighed before looking at him. –Is alright – You whispered.
He looked up at you and caressed your cheek. –Do you still love me? – He asked with a cracking voice.
-Yes, and I'll always will – You grinned.
Moonbin looked at you and then leaned closer for a kiss, he went softly and gentle, gradually, you two were making out deeply and intensely. He got apart from you before removing your hair from your face.
-I love you too, a lot, Y/N – He stuttered before hugging you tightly.
You let out your tears as soon as you heard him sob, and while caressing his hair he began to his your skin as he tried to stop his tears from falling down.
