Too forward.

~Millie's POV.~

After breakfast I drove Ian to the pet store and he ran straight to the fish section. I strolled after him smiling at his excited facial expression. I then started looking at the fish myself, they're actually cute and tiny with all their colours. He came and dragged me to the decoration section.

Ian: I'm not sure if I want a big boat or a small one for the bottom of my tank.
'Well I know nothing about this stuff but I'd say small so you can add different decorations as well.'
Ian: Okay

He ran off and the helper came up to me smiling widely. She watched him with me.

Girl: He's cute you know, he looks like you.
'Thanks, I get that a lot but I don't see it.'
Girl: Well, he does.

I smiled at her and walked up to him. I knelt down next to him and listened to him blabber about the importance of proper and unharmful fish tank decor.

~Finn's POV.~

Lea fell asleep on the plane so I had to wake her up when we arrived which sucked because I hate doing that. Lucky for me she is like me and just glares and swears in her head instead of screaming. We had to catch a cab since the delivery truck would bring my car and everything else early morning. I let Lea sleep in my arms until we arrived at our new apartment. All my life I never knew taxi drivers to be so kind, he helped me get our cases out. I looked at LA time and it was already midnight. I guess tomorrow we'll have to search for a store. I made a small bed with a blanket and played her down. This sucks but I guess there's nothing to do about.

I ended up not sleeping because of fear, I wanted Lea to be comfortable even though my arm was her pillow. So when it was 8am the delivery truck came. I moved Lea's bed into her new room and let her sleep but she woke up and followed me out.

Lea: Daddy, are you okay?
'Yes, baby I'm just tired.'
Lea: Okay.
'Are you dressed? We need to go to the store.'
Lea: What store?
'Like every store, we need everything.'

She groaned and searched her suitcase for something. I wait until she came out with a white and blue puffy skirt on, and a unicorn T-shirt and pink and silver kicks. We drove to the first store I could find. It was pretty close to our house, it turned out to be a mini market which was good enough since it had food which was what we needed most. Lea ran straight into the luxury aisle, what can you expect, she's my daughter after all.

~Lea's POV.~

I ran to the luxury aisle and stopped when I saw a boy there. He was just sitting in the middle of the aisle staring at the candies. I walked up to him and introduced myself sitting down next to him.

'Hi, I'm Lea.'

He looked confused and a bit scared so I just kept smiling. He pointed at himself so I nodded.

Boy: I'm Ian.
'What are you doing, why are you staring at the candies?'
Ian: I can't decide.
'It's okay, I'll help you but you have to help me, it's my first time here.'
Ian: Okay

I smiled at him and he did the same. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to someone.

~Millie's POV.~

I was in the fruit section then Ian came running up to me hand in hand with a girl.

Ian: Mommy, this is Lea.
Lea: Hi I'm Lea, is Ian really seven years old?
'Hi Lea, I'm Millie and yes he is.'
Ian: Told you
Lea: Yeah, yeah, and how old are you?
'I'm twenty two years old.'
Lea: Oh, you look like a teenager, Ian can't decide what candies to take, can he have all?

She kept talking and asking questions so I was stuck in the fruit aisle. She was kinda adorable and hard to get annoyed by. A voice finally cut hers off.

-Lea!

Lea: uh-oh

Ian and I followed her widened eyes behind us to see someone running up to her, not making eye contact with anyone but her. He knelt down in front of her. I still haven't seen his face, he has a well built body frame though, and I like the crazy black curls in his head.

Guy: How many times do I have to say you can't just disappear, you have to tell me when you go somewhere.
Lea: I'm sorry, I was just talking and I forgot.

She pointed at us and he turned around, lips slightly parted. Nice face, damn he's hot. Okay, no, forget that thought, oh just shut up brain.

'Hi, I'm Millie, this is my son Ian.'
Guy: Hi.
'Lea was just helping Ian and then she started talking to me, I'm sorry if that was inappropriate.'
Guy: I'm Finn. Lea go pick your candies, I'll be right there.

I nodded at Ian so he followed her. Once they were out of earshot I spoke up.

'She's adorable Finn.'
Finn: Thanks, I mean she has my looks so of course.
'Wow.'
Finn: No I'm kidding, your son is cute to.
'Thanks'

There was silence between us and we kept looking at each other and smiling awkwardly.

Finn: Okay, what? There's something you wanna say.

I just chuckled nervously.

'Yeah, I'm sorry if this is too forward but can you and your daughter maybe come over some time, my son doesn't speak to anyone and he seems comfortable around Lea.'
Finn: Yeah, we could both use some friendly faces around here.

I handed him my phone so he put his number in it. Cool, maybe I can invite him over on Friday so Caleb doesn't have to third wheel with Sadie and I. Lea and Ian ran up to us and Finn picked her up. I smiled at them and Finn whispered in her ear while staring at me. She nodded and hopped out of his arms and ran to me.

Lea: Daddy said you look cute and you should call him soon.

She wiggled her eyebrows so I stared at him smiling innocently. I held in my laugh as they walked away I rolled my eyes. Oh my gosh. I finished shopping with Ian but my mind was somewhere else completely. With someone else completely. What am I gonna do with you Finn?
