The second day of the war, and the struggle continued ceaselessly and with no signs of slowing down. The casualties were already quite numerous for both sides, but the Demons seemed to have the advantage. The front lines of the Angels had fallen and retreated, and the Demons soon conquered the territory. The Angels were beginning to get more trapped and there was no clue found as to the whereabouts of the Antichrist.
Minho, Jisung and Changbin had fought on the front line from day one, and it was with great synergy and teamwork between the three that they managed to contribute well to the advance of the Demons. The right wing, where these three talented and young soldiers of the war situated, were already paving the way for further advancement, but as their arrogance slowly took them, so did the Angels who took them and cornered a few Demons, including those three. They were trapped in the midst of the Angels offensive which was beginning to exterminate each of them trapped by greed and arrogance. The Angels' line of projectiles began to fire at that group of Angels to assist in the work of the infantry. Minho is hit by an arrow in the knee. It crosses his knee from one end to the other, tearing up the crosses and chipping the kneecap in half. The boy falls and screams with pain and distress. He feels the wooden stick between putting himself in the middle of the muscle and close to the bone, causing him extreme pain. Changbin and Jisung look back, seeing their wounded friend, and tries to pass the crowd to him, but two fast Angels fly over there and grab Minho, taking advantage of his injury and taking him without him or his companions being able to show any resistance. Minho's pains intensify even more, with his leg without any support and swinging with the wind. The two Angels had as mission to catch two targets, but the second seemed to have disappeared from the battlefield, not being seen anywhere. God's allies began to lose patience, letting Minho fall freely to the ground, severely hurting poor Demon's leg. Minho's cries of agony and despair echo through the air. The Angel who dropped him in the middle of the flight lands with a bang on his injured leg, aggravating the pain. Demon, for the first time, feels desperate and powerless, breaking into tears with the pain that seemed endless.
"The little Demon cries when facing death, huh?" Angel on top of Minho's knee starts laughing and mocking at the hurt boy's desperation, "If you tell us about the Antichrist, we may spare you."
"I won't tell you anything!" Minho screams among groans.
"I won't ask you again, where is the Antichrist?!" Angel asks again, holding out his hand for one of his countrymen to give him a sword.
"You'll have to kill me before I tell you anything." Minho refuses to reveal anything again by spitting at Angel.
He completely disapproves of Minho's attitude, taking a sword given to him, and bringing it closer to Minho, "It's clean, isn't it? Amazing how the Holy Water can clean even the dirtiest blood of a Demon and make it fume like it was nothing." Angel brags, letting a small drop fall into Minho's knee, reacting and deeply burning his leg, from the skin, to the muscle and to the bone.
Demon screams at the massacre, his body could no longer bear such suffering and he felt his body becoming disconnected. His hearing began to feel far away and her mouth knew his own blood, his blurred vision showed the movement of Angel who wielded his sword and pointed to Demon's chest. His last thoughts were about his friends. How would Jisung and Changbin be? Had they managed to escape the trap the Angels had set for them? Was Chan already fighting Lucifer? Where was Felix? Was Carrie protected, since she was Lucifer's daughter and needed more protection? Was Elizabeth still fighting or would the harsh reality of the war be too much for the sweet and gentle Demon for whom he still felt a very special affection. From so many trouble that they all got him out, there was no way to get him out this time. The boy smiles at the cruel fate. Although painful, the boy could not complain about his life, the understanding of life comes late, for those who no longer enjoyed it. Minho closed his eyes waiting to feel the blessed blade going through his chest, but two black shadows suddenly flew in, cutting the white wings of the Angels surrounding Minho. The amputees didn't even have time to react. As they look at their white feathers spreading freely through the air, the shadows passed again at high speed, and the angels only felt a blade passing through his body and coming out, letting their bodies fall to the ground and bleed to death. Minho opened his eyes and widened them when he saw his opponents defeated quickly and without mercy. He hears footsteps behind him and, without much leeway due to his injury, the boy uses his arms to manipulate his body and sees the two friends who saved him, Elizabeth and Felix. Elizabeth, as soon as she connected her gaze with that of her best friend, ran to him and hugged him tightly and tightly, as if holding Minho's life between her arms, as she cried with the fright she had taken. Felix stood guard, ready to face any opposition that might appear to interrupt the rescue.
"Are you alright? How do you feel?"
"Despite from not walking again on my life and being burned from inside with by Holy Water, I'm better now."
"I'm sure we can fix that later."
"Glad I didn't said goodbye to you..." Between tears and suffering, Elizabeth manages to smile from her crippled friend, "That would imply that one of us would die."
"Felix, help me here!" Elizabeth asks Felix for help to get them out of there quickly.
He keeps his sword, evaporating its flames, and takes Minho from his left shoulder, since Elizabeth was already on his right shoulder, and they take off towards the demons' receding ground. From above, they have the prospect of the Demons' retreat, the Angels seem to have gained strength and managed to assert themselves in the face of infernal opposition, gaining more territory to breathe. In the middle of the flight, Felix feels Minho's body falling more on his shoulder. Looking sideways, he sees that Elizabeth was not well, as she grabbed the left side of her face.
"Ei, wanna land?" Felix tries to get Elizabeth's attention.
"No, I'm fine."
