Some days had passed from this to the war between demons and angels. The usual group had returned to the land, leaving Beelzebub in charge of the land of hell temporarily. The next person to rule would be Chan or Carrie, but for now neither of them wanted to be involved, they both needed a vacation and forgot what had happened. Carrie, before returning to her old home, turned over her father's office and room until she finally found what she wanted most, her mother's diary. The angels, though more relaxed, still had something that was tormenting their heads, the trial of Seungmin, after the war no Angel said anything, which was suspicious.
Hyunjin was working at the café until he saw Minho and Elizabeth arriving, wondering where Jeongin, Yejun and Seungmin, or even the other demons were, but he shrugged his shoulders and went to the box to meet them. Meanwhile, Seungmin walked along the beach, alone to clear his mind of whatever was bothering him, feeling the wet sand and cold sea water hitting his feet, until two white shadows appeared before him showing the shape of the Archangel Michael and Raphael. These standing in front of Seungmin and their gaze said it all.
"You know why we are here right, Seungmin Kim?" The Archangel Michael asks calmly and Seungmin nodded.
The Archangel Michael and Raphael enter next to Seungmin, grabbing him in their arms and the four disappear through the same flow of light as they appeared. Now in the room of the Archangel Gabriel, an enormous, spacious and illuminated room, the Archangels Michael and Raphael stand side by side looking at Seungmin who was tied to a chair that was a little frightened by the situation. The indifference the angel often showed was to hide the fear and anxiety he felt. Archangel Gabriel appears after a few minutes, his steps echo through the room and he puts his hands on Seungmin's shoulders.
"Seungmin, so glad you could join us." The Archangel greets the young angel.
"You could have just sent a message, the daylight kidnapping wasn't necessary." Seungmin responds by turning his eyes to the man with purple eyes in front of him.
"It's more fun this way." The Archangel Gabriel comments, laughing, "Now we wait, I'm sure you didn't saw this one coming."
The Archangel says excited about the situation and at that exact moment a demon came in animated by the situation, the archangel Michael and Raphael formed a circle with stones and as soon as the demon approached, he threw flames into the midst of the stones, flames of hell, no angel could resist. That was Seungmin's pity for betraying the angels at a crucial moment, even though hell and heaven had found a middle ground, the angel's heart fired, but his face showed no reaction. The Archangel Raphael approached Seungmin and untied him, the boy got up from his chair and stood there looking at the flames, not being able to believe that after everything he would leave everything and everyone behind without saying at least goodbye.
"I don't suppose I can persuade you to reconsider?" Seungmin tries his luck, but without success, "We're meant to be the good guys." The boy comments by looking at the intense flames.
"We're meant to make exemples out of traitors... So, into the flames." The Archangel Grabriel orders Seungmin.
The young angel sighs deeply looking at the flames and slowly walks towards them, stopping just two steps away from them, Seungmin fills his chest with courage and takes the last steps he needed. Entering the flames, the boy felt relaxed, his body did not burn, he was as if they were bathing in holy water, the boy smiled with pleasure, although he did not understand what was going on. The archangels were frightened and surprised by the situation and looked at each other in panic.
"What is he?" The Archangel Raphael asks and the Archangel Gabriel did not know exactly how to answer.
Seungmin came out of the flames and his wings spread, but something was different, they were no longer just white. They were white and black, it was like a mixture between an angel and a demon. Seungmin had become half an angel, half a demon, something never seen before. The surprised and at the same time frightened archangels let the boy go because they didn't know what they were dealing with or the danger it might cause. The new Demon-Angel smiles and snaps his fingers, disappearing from the Archangel Gabriel's office and returning to the place where he had been kidnapped by the Archangels and continued his walk.
Carrie was walking down the sidewalk of the dense streets of Georgia. It was summer, the city was full of tourists, several languages could be heard in all corners of the city, which gave another life and another interest to the city. However, Demon did not carry such happy news for Chan. The two brothers agreed to meet on the beach, or rather, Carrie suggested. Perhaps the serenity of the sunset would make the news less heavy, or the waves of the sea would take the boy's tears away. Maybe the sand would comfort the fall after Carrie took the ground away from him. When the blonde arrives at the agreed place, Chan is already sitting on the sand, looking to the horizon, feeling the mild breeze through the shallowest layer of his skin and admiring the view he might have lost if he had died at Lucifer's hands. Carrie sits next to her brother, greeting him with a simple smile, to which he gives back. The sound of the sea waves bursting on the rocks of the coast almost hypnotizes the brothers, but Carrie felt a weight on her chest that she could no longer carry.
"There's something you need to know."
"What is it?"
"Robin's dead." Carrie reveals the news directly and quickly, so she didn't feel the weight of it.
Chan's eyes widen and his breathing is suspended, as if all the oxygen in his lungs had been sucked in. Even though the possibility of that happening was quite large, Chan never wanted to believe it could happen to Robin, or maybe that's what his heart wanted to believe, "No.... You're lying..."
"I— I'm sorry." Carrie hugs her brother, hiding his face in the curve of his neck.
Chan remembers every moment with Angel. What began with a silly fight between the rivalry of an Angel and a Demon, gave way to a close friendship and an intense love. Chan felt as if he were suspended in space and time, as if the world had stopped spinning and life was in no condition to unfold. Chan felt lost, abandoned and hurt by the cruelty of life, for having taken away what was most precious from him without imminent warning. Will all that war and all that suffering and death of thousands have been compensated? A war started with a single word which Chan carried and which seemed to be his eternal curse. After a few minutes, Carrie moves him away from her neck and looks him in the eye, wondering and even feeling some fear for her brother's apathetic reaction.
"How do you feel?" Ask the worried sister.
"Alone."
"You're not alone, Chan."
"I could have avoided it... She could be alive now..." Chan starts blaming himself for what happened and thinking about all the scenarios that could make Robin live at that moment.
"Forget that now... Why don't you come spend some time with me at my house? Time to repay you that favor."
