A Twist of Fate- Something

"What do you mean it's destroyed?!"

"I mean it's gone."

I stood up and paced to perimeter of the grass, which was growing moister as the minutes passed. Then I got an idea.

"But sshe didn't say you had to be inside the castle! That means we just have to go to where it once stood!"

Cat nodded.

Then my excitement disappeared and I dropped to my knees and said, "The problem being, we're stranded here..."

Cat sat down in front of me. "That may be a problem. However, the Merli, I believe they're called, are covered with lavenders, no?"

"Yes they are. But I don't see-- Oh Cat you're a genius! We can use the lavenders to swim our way to land!"

He nodded approvingly.

I reached underwater as far as my arm would reached and pulled up five lavender roots. I ate one and handed one to Cat. He ate his quickly and stood at my feet.

"Let's go then." I said, and Cat and I jumped into the endless pool.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I felt a rush of bubbles as I plumeted down and down into the vast plain-turned-lake.
Wow. I spun around and around, then once my dizziness wayed, I stared into the vast fields of lavenders. Wow. I said again. It's beautiful.
As are other things under these waters. I looked over to Cat andhis crystal blue eyes looked back. I smiled.
We swam down to the very bottom of the plain. Look at all of them! There has to be a thousand at least!
I grabbed a batch of thirteen lavenders, making our total sixteen.
I started towards Cat, who was moving at a very fast pace to the south, when I felt a pressure in my chest and quickly grabbed another root and ate it. The pressure disappeared and I continued swimming behind Cat.
We came to an underwater plateau. There were at least twenty feet of water above the plateau.
Wow. That's amazing.
Cat looked back at me and continued to scale the plateau.
We stood on top of it and looked out over the Ukrin. The Ukrin is a long-dried river that ran into the Merli. Now that the Ukrin has dried up the Merli did as well. It was once a lake, and it is once again.
Come. Cat jumped. High. And far: All the way over the Ukrin and into the hills that led into town.
I jumped, more llike a hop, and it took me to the base of the hills. Oh my god.... That was Awesome!! And with that I jumped up and over the hills and followed Cat into the city.
