"Alright, fine. I'll admit it," Aniya began, leaning forward slightly as she spoke to Juliet and Maya. The three of them were sitting together in their usual spot in the lunchroom. Her tone caught both girls' attention, making them turn to her with curious expressions. "Not all of the guys are as bad as I thought."
Maya raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Wait, what? Are you actually saying something positive about them?"
Aniya sighed, brushing her hair behind her ear as she considered how to explain. "Remember when I called you both the other day? I told you about meeting that girl—Emily—the one you both know?"
Juliet tilted her head, her brow furrowing slightly as she nodded. "Yeah, I remember, What about her?"
"Well," Aniya said, sitting up straighter, "her fiancé, Sam, invited me over to their place a few days ago. It was supposed to be this friendly thing, you know? Anyway, when I got there, all of the guys were there too." She paused and let out a breath of relief. "Except for Black, thankfully."
Maya grinned at that, unable to resist teasing. "So, you spent time with the guys and actually survived to tell the tale?"
Aniya gave a small laugh and nodded. "Yeah, and honestly, they weren't all terrible. Sam, though... Sam seemed really interested in my sketches, and I still can't figure out why."
