"I need you boys to be on your absolute best behaviour," Emily said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument as she addressed the pack. Jacob, of course, was absent, likely spending time with Bella. Emily had planned this moment carefully, wanting to ensure a proper introduction of Aniya to the group.
What the pack didn't realize, however, was that the 'friend' Emily had mentioned was actually her. This little detail had been deliberately kept under wraps, and as a result, the boys were all on edge. Suspicion and curiosity filled the air, their unease evident in the way they shifted restlessly, each wondering what—or who—was they were going to meet.
Leah, on the other hand, felt nothing but relief at the prospect of having another female around. Unlike the boys, she already knew Aniya and had met her before. The two had clicked almost instantly, forming an easy camaraderie that Leah found refreshing. Whenever Aniya was at Emily's house, Leah often found herself there too, enjoying the rare sense of companionship.
Sam had also mentioned the maternal energy Aniya seemed to exude, and Leah had to agree. She had felt it the moment they met—a comforting, almost grounding presence that made her feel unexpectedly at ease. For Leah, Aniya's arrival was a welcome change in the pack's dynamic, one she had quickly come to appreciate.
