6: Boys - 3rd Person/Roman's POV

"I'm... G-gay." Virgil told him as he sat down.

"R-really?" Roman sat there in shock. That boy, was gay. 

He's like you, Roman.

"Y-yeah." Then Virgil turned his head away so the teen wouldn't see his embarrassment.

"O-okay." Roman took a deep breath. "I'm gay."

Virgil picked up his head and looked at Roman differently.

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah." Then Roman did something he's never done before. He hugged a boy. More specifically, Virgil. Then, Virgil hugged back.

"This is amazing." Virgil mumbled.

"It really is." He mumbled back. 

Afterwards, Virgil took out his earbuds and smiled. He gave an earbud to Roman and took one for himself. Ease My Mind, from the album they both knew perfectly, started.

Most days I wake up with a pit in my chest

There are thoughts that I can't put to rest

There's a worry that I can't place

Most nights, I am restless and quiet won't come

So I lay there and wait for the sun

There's a trouble that won't show its face

You came out of nowhere and you cut through all the noise

I make sense to the madness when I listen to your voice

Darling, only you can ease my mind

Help me leave these lonely thoughts behind

A little later, after a few songs, the bus pulled to a halt at the school. The two boys got off the bus, their hands interlocked. 

"What's your homeroom?" He questioned.

"Oh, you don't want to know." Virgil responded.

"Yes I do."

"Room 373."

"Oh no. That sucks."

"Yeah, it's horrible. She is a literal witch." They both chuckled.

"Ugh. Well my homeroom is this way, so I'll see you first period during Drama?"

"Of course." Virgil replied and their hands released as they walked their separate ways.
