A Simple Word: Love

How does my love differ from your word, love?
Love: with all its shades and states of decay,
Love that grows and leaves one wanting more of,
Love that corrodes, or love called agape?

Love said is not unlike the colorblind
Calling red roses red, blue violets blue;
Or having answers where none are to find;
Or labeling one's repressions as new.

A Juliet by any other name
Still remains possessing him and possessed.
The selfishness and selflessness remain
And a rose is a rose when colorless.

What word could, this elusiveness be caught?
What word could, meaning everything, mean naught?
