It was Saturday, which means Quidditch and in this case, Try-outs! Harry was captain this year and I was Co-captain. Ron also went to the tryouts, along with Daniel and Samira. Harry and I stood in front of everyone as Harry tried to get everyone's  attention. The only ones who actually listened where Ron, Daniel, Samira and Ginny.

After about a minute of Harry trying to get everyone quiet, I snapped. "SHUT YOUR BLOODY TRAPS!" I yelled. Everyone stopped immediately and turned their attention towards me and Harry. "Thanks. Now then, remember, just because you made the team last year that does not grantee your spot this year, is that clear?" Harry was answered with a mummer of yes's.

Ron's POV

Harry was explaining what we were about to do and when he finished he walked away with (Y/N), probably to set up the drill. I looked up towards the stands and Hermoine sat there. She waived lightly and I gave her an awkward smile back.

"No hard feelings, Weasley. Alright?" McLaggen asked as he bumped into my shoulder. "Hard feelings?" I questioned. "I'll be going for Keeper as well. It's nothing personal." He said. "Really? Strapping guy like you? You've got more of a Beaters build, don't you think? Keepers need to be quick, agile." I stated. "I like my chances." He replied as he crushed a fly between his fingers. "Say, do you think you can introduce me to your friend Granger or Hydra? I'd like you get on first name basis if you know what I mean." He said. "Don't try anything with (Y/N), she's taken and her boyfriend will crush if you try." I mumbled, but he ignored me.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Harry and (Y/N) had set up the drill and I flew towards the hoops.  (Y/N) flew past me and gave me an encouraging smile. We stated playing as soon as Harry released the Quaffle and the Bludgers. Ginny got the Quaffle first and she played extremely well. The other team came towards me with the Quaffle and I waited anxiously for the Quaffle to be thrown.

I didn't do it as gracefully as McLaggen, but I did block the Quaffle a fair amount of times.

Hermoine's POV

I sat in the stands as I watched the tryouts. Ginny was doing great, but Ron was doing dreadful. McLaggen was doing way better, but he got on my nerves from time to time, because he kept staring at me or (Y/N). It made me uncomfortable.

Ron and McLaggen had blocked the same amount of balls, but it was looking better for McLaggen. Samira was going towards McLaggen with the Quaffle and I saw that as my chance. "Confundus." I whispered and McLaggen's broom shot to the side, causing the Quaffle to got through.

I caught (Y/N) looking at me and she gave me a cheeky smirk, which I returned a little.

(Y/N) POV

We were back in the common room and Harry and I had announced who had made the team. Ginny and Samira both got the spot for Chaser, along with me. Daniel got the spot for Beater, with Seamus as the other. Harry was still Seeker and Ron was made Keeper.

"I've got to admit, I thought I was going to miss that last one. Hope Cormac isn't taking it to hard. He's got a bit of a thing for you, Hermoine. And for you too, (Y/N)." I looked up at Ron and scoffed. "You tell him that I'm not interested. I've already got a boyfriend." I replied. "You haven't been as close as normally, what's up with that?" Hermoine asked. "I don't know. He suddenly is very detached and cold. I found him crying in the Great Hall once, after he yelled at me, but the next day he acted like it never happened." I explained.

Harry suddenly leaned over to Hermoine and me and showed us his potions book. "Have you ever heard of this spell? Sectumsempra?" He asked. "No! And if you have a bit of self-respect you hand that book in." Hermoine snapped. "Not bloody likely. He's top of the class, along with (Y/N). Slughorn thinks they're genius's." Hermoine closer her newspaper and glared at Ron. "What?" He was so oblivious. "I'd like to know who's book that was." Samira said, who had been silent this whole time. "Let's have a look shall we?" Hermoine said as she sat on her knees and stuck out her hand. "No." Harry said quickly and stood up, Hermoine and I following. "Why not?" I asked. "The binding is fragile." "The binding is fragile?" Hermoine repeated.

Harry had walked around the couch and Hermoine and I had followed him, but what Harry didn't know was that Daniel, who was doing his Herbology homework with Neville, sat behind the place where Harry was standing. Daniel snatched the book out of Harry's hand and opened it quickly. "Who's the Half-Blood Prince?" He asked as he read the inside of the book. "Who?" Hermoine asked. "That's what it says right here. 'This book is property of the Half-Blood Prince'." Daniel read. Harry stayed silent and Daniel tossed Harry's book back.

Harry walked away and Hermoine, Daniel and I shared a worried look.
