"He's at perfect liberty to kiss whoever he likes. I really couldn't care less." Hermione huffed. "Was I under the impression he and I were going to Slughorn's Christmas party? Yes. Now given the circumstances, I've had to make other arrangements." She explained. "Have you?" Harry asked. "Yes. Why?" "I just thought, seeing that neither of us can go with who we'd really like to we should got together, as friends." He explained. "Why didn't I think of that?" Hermione groaned. "Who are you going with?" I asked. "Um, it's a surprise. Anyway, it's you two we have to worry about. Daniel and Samira will obviously go together, so it's just you two." She exclaimed. "Hold on, who said that I haven't got anyone yet?" I asked. "Well, I assumed so, because you and Draco aren't talking anymore, so........ Who are you going with?" She asked. "Who do you think?" I asked sarcastically. "But you aren't talking-" I cut her off. "We made up. The night of the party he came to me when I was in my room." I explained.
"Okay, but for you Harry, you can't just ask anyone. See that girl over there?" Hermione walked over to the place next to Harry. Harry peaked over her shoulder and I looked towards the girl who Hermione was mentioning to. "That's Romilda Vane. Apparently, she's trying to smuggle you a love potion." Hermione explained.
"Really?" Harry asked and just stared over Hermione's shoulder. I snapped my fingers in front of his face. "She's only doing it because she thinks you are one of the Chosen Ones." I huffed. "But I am one." He replied sassily and I smacked him on the head with the map I had in my hand. "Okay, sorry. I'll ask someone I like. Someone cool." He muttered.

It was the night of the Christmas party and I was waiting near the classroom where the party was held. I had been standing there for nearly 10 minutes and the still was no sign of Draco. I sighted, realizing that he wasn't coming, until the blue stone on my bracelet started glowing. I pressed the stone and a tiny projectile of Draco appeared.
"Where the hell are you?" Was the first thing I asked. "Yeah, right. I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you this, but I need to do something the task. I'll be there in 20 minutes, okay?" I sighted, annoyed that he didn't tell me earlier, but nodded anyway. The projectile disappeared and I turned towards the entrance of the party.
I walked in and was met with a very bright, very cheerful room. There were a lot of people, chatting happily. "(Y/N), my dear." Someone called. I looked over to my right and I spotted Slughorn. "Nice to see you, sir." I smiled. "It's good to see you too. And very good looking, might I add. You look so much like your mother."
He brought me over to a corner where we took a picture together. I walked away and spotted Harry, who was talking to Neville. "Hi, Neville." I smiled. "Hi, (Y/N). Drink?" He asked as he offered me a glass of what looked like champagne. "Thanks." I took the glass from him and he left us.
"Why are you so late?" Harry asked. "I was waiting for Draco. 10 minutes later he tells me he still needs to do something for Blaise." I lied. "Hé, is that Hermione?" I pointed past him towards the curtains that line the walls. You could see the silhouette of a girl shining through.
Harry and I exchanged looks and quickly joined Hermione behind the curtains. "Hermione, what are you doing. And what happened to you?" I asked. "I've just escaped. I mean, I left Comac under the mistletoe." She sighted. "Cormac? That's who you invited?" I hissed. "I thought he would annoy Ron the most." She explained. "He's got more tentacles than a Snarfalump plant." I would have laughed if the situation wasn't so serious.
"Dragon tartare?" A waiter asked as he stuck his head through the curtains. "No thanks." "Just as well. They gave one a horribly bad breath." The waiter commented. "On a second thought." Hermione snatched the tray out of the waiters hands and started eating as much tartare as she could. "Might keep Cormac at bay. Oh god, here he comes." She pressed the tray in my hands and ran like her life depended on it.
5 seconds later Cormac McLaggen's face appeared from behind the curtains. "I think she just went to powder her nose." Harry lied. "Slippery little minx, your friend." He then spotted me. "But I don't mind this." He smirked. "I have a boyfriend." I frowned. He took the tray from my hands and started eating the tartare.
"What is it that I'm eating, by the way?" He asked. Harry looked at me and I gave him my best smirk. "Dragon balls." I answered. Suddenly, Snape came though the curtains and looked at us suspiciously. McLaggen who was in front of him threw up on his shoes.
"You've just bought yourself a month of detention, McLaggen." He said. I pushed Harry towards the side of the curtain. We ran from behind the curtains, but we were stopped by Snape's voice. "Sir, I really think we should re-join the party, our dates-" Snape stopped him. "Can surely survive your absence for another minute or two, and I believe that Mrs. Hydra's date hasn't arrived yet."
"Anyway, I only wish to convey a massage. From Dumbledore. He asked me to give you his best, and hopes you enjoy your holiday. You see, he's traveling and won't come back until term resumes." He explained. "Traveling where?" Harry asked immediately. He just looked at him, then turned to me. "Merry Christmas, (Y/N)." He smiled one of his rare smiles and walked away.
There was a loud bang and a very familiar voice. "Get you hands off me, you filthy Squib!" That person snapped. I looked over towards the door and Filch stood there with a very annoyed Draco. "I just discovered this boy lurking in the upstairs corridor. He claims to have been invited to your party." Filth sneered.
"Yes, I am! I was invited by my date!" Draco snapped. "That's true." I said as I stepped towards him. I grabbed his arm gently and dragged him over to the most private corner I could find. "How'd go?" I asked. "Terrible." He sighted.
"Mrs. Hydra?" A monotone voice asked. I turned around and was now facing professor Snape. "Yes, sir?" "Do you mind if I steal your date for a moment?" I shook my head and Snape roughly dragged Draco by his arm out of the room.
I couldn't help noticing the furious expression on Snape's face, so I decided to follow the two. "Did you hex the Bell girl?" I heard Snape's voice ask. "Maybe I hexed her, maybe I didn't. What's it to you?" He asked. I peaked around the corner, only to see Snape shoving Draco against the wall.
"I swore to protect you. I made the Unbreakable Vow." Snape hissed dangerously. "I don't need protection. I was chosen for this. Out of all the others. Me. And I won't fail." Draco hissed back. "You are afraid, Draco. You attempt to conceal it, but it's obvious. Let me assist you." Snape offered. "No! I was chosen. This is my moment. And if he finds out that I had help he will kill her."
I heard his footsteps come towards me. He rounded to corner and I quickly pulled him aside. "So Snape made the Unbreakable Vow for you?" I asked. "Do you really need to stick your nose into the details." "You are my boyfriend, so you're my worry and I'm worrying about what is happening to you." He let out a soft chuckle and shook his head.
"Don't worry about what is happening to me." "There is one thing I need to know, tho. Are you enjoying this, this what you are doing?" "No, not even in the slightest bit. Let's just go back, it may help me forget things." He took my arm and led me back to the party.
