Chapter Ten

2 Intimidate moments in just one day. Wow. What a slut.

I never thought I'd lose my innocence now, but i did, and i don't feel bad knowing i gave it to someone i love so much. Just like waking up this morning, i wore his tshirt and now completely naked underneath it, he had boxers on, and we we're watching the Simpsons, his head laid on my lap as i run my fingers through his hair. He grabs my hand kissing the back of it, as he peered into my eyes.

"By the way our flight tomorrow is 7 am sharp." He informs me, i nod at him, as i stare at the tv but not completely focusing on it.

I stare at Niall's face who apparently isn't in this world as well, his forehead scrunched as if thinking of something, like his dying to say something but couldn't, being the curious puppy i am, i asked.

"Why? What's wrong?" He stares at me for a moment then sits up.

"I've been dying to tell you yesterday but i thought it'd be better off a different day." He explains. I wait for him to continue, as he chest on his lip.

"After i went to the doctor, you know after getting all my memories back i... I met my mom." He says, he looks at me expectantly, but i didn't knew what he was expecting. I don't know either how i should react to it. It's been a long time since he told me about his mom, and now another part of his life is coming back, i don't know exactly if its a good thing or a bad thing but i hope its a good thing.

"How?" I ask him.

"Well i was walking and i bumped into her and she instantly recognized me. I didn't. She invited me over and i wasn't able to reject her offer so i came with her." He explains.

"How was it?" I asked, chewing on the inside of my cheek.

"I don't know, but she has a new family. I have a step brother and you wouldn't guess what his name was." He slightly smiles.

"Nick.." I say, remembering his twin brother. He nods.

"Did you guys talk?" I ask him.

"Yeah. We did." He says, i could read his eyes, this was such a sensitive topic and with one wrong word he could break.

"She and her new husband.. It's their engagement party tonight and she wants to meet you." He smirks.

"Me?" I ask him.

"Well it was sort of only you we talked about." My heart flutters at his words. All he talked about was me. He made me the topic so he wouldn't feel uncomfortable and i hide my smile.

"Sure. I'd love to meet her." I beamed, as he kisses my cheeks.

It was already 5 and that engagement party starts by 8. I take a shower first then made Niall next, he suggested to take the shower with me but i told him no, and he groaned while i laughed finding it amusing. I take my time to choose a perfect dress that would give Niall's mom a good impression, i break into a smile when i see a sparkling dress i haven't seen before there. When i pull it out i see a letter stuck to it reading "This would look perfect on you tonight ;) xx" i smile knowing Niall wrote this. It had a v neck, lined with diamonds and it was turquoise silk, and it was ruffled at the bottom, with a glitter blue a bit darker shade of the whole dress wrapped around its waist. I only imagined how much it costs. Must be a lot. I walk towards the bathroom door, with the dress in my hand.

"No more gifts Niall!" I tell him. I hear his laugh echo inside.

I put it on and it fits like a glove, curling my hair and applying the right amount of make up, dark red lipstick, eyeliner, mascara and a blush to add color to my pale cheeks. When i stand up, he walks in with a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair still wet, he stares at me for a moment, then he walks towards me holding my hips in place. He pulls me closer and kisses me and i pull away.

"Get dressed." I tell him, and he groans annoyed.

50 minutes to get there which was called Amber Garden, it was a 45 minute ride. We were greeted by lights hung around, the garden was breath taking, we walk through the white gate and was greeted with guests fully dressed in formal attire, white clothed tables with candles placed on each of them, small lanterns hung from every corner, it was absolutely beautiful. I stare in awe when a lady walks towards us with a beautiful smile, i could see the resemblance so easily, knowing it was Niall's mother.

"Hey." Niall says cooly, as he hugs his mom.

"You must be Skylar." She says, her eyes traveling to me.

"Nice to finally meet you Mrs.." I trail off embarrass of what to call, i was about to call her horan but knowing she's moved on with a different man I'd look like i was insulting her.

"Call me Maura darling." She smiled as I nod.

She grabs my hand pulling me with her away from Niall, I look back at Niall who was completely shocked and in a state completely not knowing what to do he stares at me as if he lost me and I give him a reassuring nod and pointed at a little boy that looked like he was 15, he had Maura's eyes so I was guessing he was Nick.

"So?" She asks me.

"Pardon?" I asked.

"Will I be having grandchildren?" She beams and my eyes almost popping out of its socket.

"Oh my gosh no." I say panicking, my cheeks red as apples.

"I'm just joking sweetheart." She giggles and I slightly calm down.

"But I'm hoping to." She whispers as she takes a sip of her wine.

"I haven't thought about that really." I confess.

"You know he is very fond of you. I saw how his eyes would light up when he talks about you or hear your name. I could hear how careful his words are when he talks about you. So its shocking you haven't thought about that." She tells me as we stare at the distant at Niall who was talking and laughing with Nick.

"Why did you leave him?" I ask, regretting it afterwards.

"Oh. God. I didn't mean-"

"I was scared." She says in a whisper.

"Why? He's your son after all and he was such a wreck when you left him." I sounded like I was judging her, but I was curious.

Curiosity killed the cat Skylar.

"I knew what I did was wrong, but after Nick and Charlie's death..."

"I'm sorry for even asking." I apologize and she smiles at me.

"Don't. It shows how much you care about him. I was wrong to leave him but I want to thank you for fixing him." She stares at me, holding both my shoulders as she embraces me.

"Hey sweetheart." A man walks towards us kissing Maura's forehead.

"Bobby this is Skylar, Niall's girlfriend." She introduces.

"Oh nice to meet you." He beams shaking my hand.

"I'm sorry to disturb your conversation but darling I have some people I want you to meet." He says, Maura looks at me as I give her a nod, she smiles and leaves.

I turn around to get myself a drink but instead found my face against a beating chest, I take a step backward to see who it was, my heart stops.
